Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for June 16, 2023: Harris Saves Shawn
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on June 16, 2023: Leo inserts himself between Gwen and Dimitri. Belle catches Shawn spiraling. Sloan encourages Eric to have a baby with her. EJ and Kristen discuss their options on how to deal with Megan. Harris prepares to abduct Megan.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap for June 16, 2023: Harris Saves Shawn
Belle is not happy to see Shawn pull a bottle of liquor out of a bag. He tells her that his last one disappeared so he needed more. Belle tells him that she poured it out and they argue about his drinking until Shawn storms out angrily.
Megan isn’t happy to see Harris and he tells her that he’s not going to let her hurt anyone else. She mocks him for going back to being a hero but he is resolute. Before Harris can complete his plan, Shawn comes in and drunkenly confronts them both, assuming that Harris is working with Megan again. Harris tries to correct him but Shawn doesn’t want to hear it and lashes out at Megan.
Megan knows that Shawn’s drunk and taunts him about his mother and father. She pulls a gun on him when he threatens her and says that she would be within her rights to shoot him in self-defense. Harris steps in and convinces her that it would be best for whatever she is planning to let them go and then gets Shawn out of there. Megan locks the door after they leave and then gets back to work scheming.
Gwen is shocked when Dimitri brings her flowers but before she can react Leo steps in between them and berates Dimitri for trying to use her for good publicity. Leo goes off on a tirade and Dimitri lets him rant until Gwen steps in and tells Leo to go to work because he has a deadline. Leo reluctantly leaves and Gwen apologizes to Dimitri. He tells her that Leo was right, he did have an ulterior motive but it was because he is attracted to her and feels an intense connection.
Gwen admits that she feels it too and kisses him. They frantically start to tear each other’s clothes off and move to the bed but are interrupted by his phone. He tells her that he has been waiting for a business text and has to take it. It’s actually from his mother encouraging him to step up their plan. Dimitri tosses his phone aside and goes back to ravaging Gwen.
EJ and Kristen are still tied up in the wine cellar and EJ is very upset that he is missing the appointment with Nicole and the pregnancy specialist. He talks to Kristen about his feelings for Nicole and the baby and his fears about history repeating itself. Kristen is surprised by how deeply his feelings for Nicole go and tries to make him feel better about Nicole not telling him that she loves him too. She also apologizes for partnering with Megan. They both wonder what Megan has planned for them and EJ hopes that Stefan is ok.
Nicole can’t understand why EJ isn’t there and texts him back looking for answers. Kayla tells her that the specialist will be there soon and then Belle arrives and chats with Nicole. They talk about EJ and the baby and Belle says Eric must have been upset about the paternity before apologizing. After Belle leaves Nicole tries to text EJ again but gets no response. She ends up having to do the appointment on her own.
Sloan goes to Eric’s room and is upset about her brother’s legal situation. He comforts her and they make love. Later they are having lunch in the Pub when Sloan reminds him of her offer to have a baby. Eric thanks her again but tells her that he just doesn’t think it’s the right time for them to have a baby. Kate overhears him and interrupts, telling him that he’s wrong. She tells him that life is too short and uncertain to wait to get what you want and encourages him to have a baby if he really wants to be a father.
Later Eric and Sloan run into Nicole outside of the Pub and she tells them about her appointment. She is happy because the specialist told her that there is a very good chance she can carry the baby to term with no issues. Eric and Sloan are happy for her and Sloan shares their good news as well. She tells Nicole that she and Eric have decided to have a child together.
Belle gives Shawn some coffee to try to help him sober up and tells him that she’s happy Megan didn’t hurt him. She’s upset when Shawn replies that he wishes Megan had shot him. Harris meets with Kate in the park and tells her what happened with Shawn and Megan. He tells her that he’s not giving up and will still get rid of Megan.
