It’s about to get all holy and righteous for three daytime stars who are set to be in the upcoming Christian movie titled “The Choir Director”. General Hospital’s Donnell Turner [Curtis Ashford] as Detective McGraw along with The Bold and the Beautiful’s Anna Maria Horsford [Vivienne] as Deaconess Moss and Obba Babatunde [Julius] as Mr. Wilcox have all been tapped for roles in the upcoming film.
Written by Carl Weber and directed by Trey Haley, The Choir Director tells the story of Bishop T.K. Wilson who has done all he can to make First Jamaica Ministries a success, but after his first choir director is caught in a scandal, attendance and cash flow are down. The Bishop is counting on a new choir director to revive the church. Little does he know, this decision may also put his job as the Bishop, as well as his family, in jeopardy.
Also in the upcoming film are Darrin Dewitt Henson, Christian Keyes, Clifton Powell, popular actor Jaleel White best known
for his role as Steve Urkle on ‘Family Matters’ and much more.
The Choir Director is expected to be out on August 26, 2017. Of his upcoming movie appearance, GH’s Donnell Turner shares with Soap Opera Intel, “I play a detective and I have scenes interrogating Obba Babatunde AND Clifton Powell! I’m Incredibly grateful and honored to be a part of this movie. I was fortunate enough to share the screen with legends. We had a lot of fun and truly, the pleasure was mine.
