At the latter end of September, Days of our Lives fans and the soap community at large were devastated to learn that the veteran actor, Drake Hogestyn, passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Deidre Hall, who portrays one of the show’s leading ladies, Marlena Evans Black, expressed her heartfelt reflections on the passing of her former co-star during an interview with Access Hollywood at the show’s 59th anniversary celebration.
Deidre shared how she and the cast are dealing with this loss. “I miss that he doesn’t get to come to work. I miss that he doesn’t get to play with us,” she shared. “He loved being here, and I missed that for him.”
Hall points out that there are moments when she sits on set, and a sudden realization strikes her that John Black is not there, and then, in a heartbreaking moment, she goes, “Oh, my gosh!
