It was one later that Bell gave the character a proper backstory, surname, and family. which includes his unstable sister, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). After his marriage to April Stevens (ex-Cynthia Eilbacher) failed, his story focus shifted as Paul’s career was highlighted as a private investigator. Paul was later married to Lauren (Tracey E. Paul’s number of unsuccessful romances with women continued as he got involved with Cindy Lake (ex-DeAnna Robins) and Cassandra Rawlins (ex-Nina Aversen). He was involved heavily in several other storylines as he worked as Genoa City’s private investigator and now the Chief of Police.
