Dateline is reporting that bidding has started on the film Shadow Force. Kerry Washington and Sterling K. Brown will star and produce the Leon-Chills scripted action drama.
The script has been characterized as providing a new spin on Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Washington and Simpson Street’s Pilar Savone will produce the project with Indian Meadows Productions’ Danielle Reardon and Brown, and Stephen “Dr” Love.
Washington is most known as America’s high powered fixer, Olivia Pope, in Scandal. She has also starred in Confirmation and Django Unchained. The Broadway play, American Son, starring Washington is premiering in Toronto next month and will also be adapted by Netflix.
