We love it when actors get to act. Like, really act. When they tap into those acting chops and show us what they are made of.
This week, it was that kind of moment for Eden McCoy, who delivered back-to-back standout performances as Josslyn “Joss” Jacks on General Hospital. Because of it, she has been named Soap Opera News Performer of the Week for March 2–6.
Let’s talk about what went down in Port Charles.
Josslyn Confronts Carly
This week on General Hospital, Joss was at Carly’s house when she started hearing some questionable noises. Joss, being Joss, grabbed her weapon and started tracing the sound.
Eventually, she made her way up to the attic. And that’s when she found someone she definitely did not expect to see.
Valentin Cassadine.
Naturally, Joss wanted to believe her mom had nothing to do with it. But that hope quickly faded when the truth came out. Carly had been hiding Valentin in her home the entire time.
Things got tense fast.
A Powerful Reveal for Joss
In a series of emotionally charged scenes, Carly revealed her truth, and Joss revealed hers. By the end of the confrontation, neither one of them was exactly happy with the other.
But Joss made something very clear.
She chose this life.
Josslyn confessed to a horrified Carly that she had been living a double life as a WSB agent for nearly a year. She also admitted that she killed Cyrus Renault to avenge Dex and revealed that Jack Brennan encouraged her into the agency.
Now, Joss says she wants to bring Sonny Corinthos down once and for all.
These scenes were tense, emotional, and powerful. They gave Eden McCoy a chance to really shine, just like she always does. She brought every bit of emotion needed to make those moments land. And boy, did they hit.
McCoy delivered some of her strongest work yet this week, and we’re proud to name her Soap Opera News Performer of the Week.
