Today marks a remarkable day as we celebrate the 83rd birthday of the beloved Eric Braeden. He is renowned for his iconic portrayal of Victor Newman on the esteemed CBS daytime drama, “The Young and the Restless.”
With decades of enthralling performances, Braeden has captivated audiences and also made a memorable crossover to “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
Eric Braeden, is a distinguished German film and television actor. His outstanding portrayal of Victor Newman earned him a Daytime Emmy Award for Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1998.
Eric Braeden Celebrates His Birthday
Braeden’s journey began in Bredenbek, Germany. It later led him to the United States in 1959, where he pursued studies at the University of Montana, Missoula. Braeden vividly recounts surviving the MV Wilhelm Gustloff sinking during Operation Hannibal in 1945. This is where approximately 9,400 lives were lost. In 2017, Harper Collins published Braeden’s autobiography “I’ll Be Damned,” where he wrote about it.
