As many are aware, an account on X has been targeting soap stars with racist comments. Initially focusing on General Hospital favorite Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson), this prompted Ali to release a statement and receive support from co-stars, along with a statement from General Hospital. Following this, numerous stars from the show have blocked the X account. The same account has now shifted its attention to Y&R stars, including Sean Dominic (Nate), Christel Khalil (Lily), and Bryton James (Devon). Yvette Nicole Brown has consistently confronted the account since, and Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) has staunchly defended his The Young and the Restless colleagues.
The X account posted a picture of Khalil, Dominic, and James, accompanied by a derogatory comment. In response, Eric Braeden passionately defended his colleagues, “These three actors are dear colleagues of mine; they have more class than you LOW LIFE can imagine! We are going to block your racist ass, you got that, bitch??!!”
The situation has sparked a wave of support and solidarity within the soap opera community.
