It’s almost time for one of the most anticipated debuts in soap opera history — Erika Slezak is officially stepping into her new role on General Hospital.

Erika Slezak Begins Filming at GH

After the casting news broke a few weeks back, fans have been buzzing with excitement. Now, according to Walter Miller, Jr., longtime leader of the Erika Slezak Fan Club and the voice behind erikaslezak.com, Slezak has officially started taping for her role on GH, and her first week went pretty well.

On September 14th, the site confirmed that Slezak is currently in Los Angeles filming her new role.

In a quote shared on the site, Slezak said:

“Everyone at GH is so wonderfully kind and helpful, and by now I know my way around the studio a bit.”

Reconnecting with Old Friends from One Life to Live

This exciting new chapter has also given her the chance to reconnect with several old friends from her One Life to Live days, where she famously played the iconic Viki Lord.

Erika mentioned that her first week on set has been pretty busy, and she expects the next one to be even busier. According to the site, her evenings have been filled with running lines and preparing for the next day’s scenes. And while she admits to missing her family and pets back home, she’s genuinely enjoying her time at GH.

What to Expect from Her General Hospital Debut

As for her General Hospital debut? We know it’s coming this fall, and she’ll be playing someone connected to the Quartermaine family, but an exact airdate hasn’t been revealed just yet. The site notes that more info is on the way.

And in true Erika fashion, she closed the update with a little humor — joking about the consistently sunny and hot Los Angeles weather!

So, are you excited about Erika Slezak’s debut on General Hospital this fall?
