Daytime soap opera veteran Erika Slezak is mourning the loss of her daughter. Slezak’s daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Davies, passed away suddenly at the age of 42.

In a message posted on Slezak’s website, it read, “It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Erika’s daughter Amanda Elizabeth Davies, who died very suddenly. The family is heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this time.”

Erika Slezak is widely recognized for her portrayal of Viki Lord on One Life to Live from 1971 until the television finale in 2012 and subsequently in the online revival in 2013. Slezak is married to Brian Davies; they have two children: Michael, born in 1980, and Amanda, born in 1981. Notably, Amanda took on the role of Victoria, a teenaged, in flashback scenes on One Life to Live in 2003.

    So heartbreaking losing our younger loved ones.
