It’s official — Eva LaRue has wrapped her run as Natalia Ramirez on General Hospital. According to Soap Opera Digest, her final episode will air this week.
LaRue tells SOD, “I had a blast at General Hospital. I loved being there and I had a lot of really great scenes and I loved everybody that I got to work with. It was just an awesome experience, and I was really glad that I got to stay longer than I was supposed to.”
So, is Natalia going out in a body bag? That’s the big question after the dramatic episode that aired on June 30, where Natalia ingested a dangerous mix of pills and alcohol.
LaRue notes that her time on the show was originally supposed to be for a couple of months. However, her stay ended up being much longer — an experience she described as both “great” and “really fun.”
Daytime fans will remember LaRue’s breakout soap role as Maria Santos Grey on All My Children, where she starred from 1993 to 1998, and again from 2002 to 2005, with returns in 2010 and 2011. Years later, she joined The Young and the Restless in 2019 as Celeste Rosales, a performance that earned her a Daytime Emmy Award in 2020 for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series.
She made her debut on General Hospital in February 2024, and her character has certainly made waves.
