Diane has been missing from all the heated action in Port Charles lately. That’s most likely because Hennesy recently suffered an injury and had to undergo two surgeries.
Since then, a ridiculous rumor started circulating claiming that Hennesy’s leg had been amputated and that the show had no choice but to recast her role. However, that’s not true, not even close.

Hennesy caught wind of the rumor and quickly set the record straight on her Instagram account. “Kats n’ Kittens… I’m still very much bipedal! That was fake news! But I did love certain aspects of it… I think they captured the character of Diane very clearly and very lovingly,” she wrote.
Adding a bit of humor, she continued, “And as for me leaving the show: they’re gonna have to cart me out feet first from that sound stage. Diane is a permanent resident of Port Charles! Much love to all for the tremendous showing of support.”
Her colleague Jon Lindstrom (Joey Armstrong on Beyond the Gates and Kevin Collins on GH) joined in on the fun in the comments, saying, “Aw, you’ve arrived! Welcome to the big leagues, sister. I was recently in a fistfight on set, and then, DEAD. FYI, rumors of our mishaps and/or demise have been greatly exaggerated.”
