The Young and the Restless is bringing back a character of the past, this time bearing a new face as Valarie Pettiford takes over the role of Amy Lewis. The role was originally brought to life by Stephanie E. Williams in 1983, and now we have a first look (courtesy of CBS) at Pettiford, who is scheduled to make her debut in the role on October 29, 2024, when the character makes a return to Genoa City.

Who Is Amy Lewis?

It’s been over 30 years since the character graced the canvas. Portrayed by the talented Stephanie E. Williams from 1983 to 1990, Amy’s storyline included a notable romance with Tyrone Jackson, but her most significant relationship was with Nathan Hastings, Nate’s father. She also worked with Paul Williams and Andy Richards at their private investigation firm. In 1988, Amy made an exit from town, when she left on a mission to take care of her father.

Recently, Amy reached out to Nate via text, expressing her desire to meet regarding an urgent family matter. Without hesitation, Nate traveled to see her, and she shared insights about her past, including her time dating his father. Fans can look for her return to Genoa City starting October 29th, and it looks like her first stop is to see Nate. (Photos: CBS/Sonja Flemming)
