General Hospital recurring star Asher Antonyzyn recently stopped by the Stone Cold and the Jackal podcast. He sat down with his on-screen dad, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan), and Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) to catch up on all things Danny Morgan. The trio covered a lot of ground, from Danny’s recent rebellious streak to the truth about his feelings for Charlotte.
Danny’s Reckless New Path
Asher explained that since Jason left the canvas again, Danny has become increasingly reckless. It turns out his wild behavior is fueled by pure anger and the feeling that his father was wrongfully taken away.
“I think it’s the anger that his dad was the only person he kind of had left,” Asher shared. “It seems like his dad’s the only person he can trust. So he’s just missing that relationship.”
Because Danny feels like he is losing the only person he connects with, he is starting to take some drastic measures. For Danny, that means following in Jason’s dangerous footsteps and “entering the business.” Asher noted that Danny really wants to follow the family tradition. He wants to wear the boots and the jacket just like his dad.
The Truth About Danny and Charlotte
The guys also jumped into the complicated dynamic between Danny and Charlotte. While it is clear the two have feelings for each other, that distant family connection makes things pretty awkward.
Asher mentioned that while there was a spark for a hot second, it might be fading into something else. He compared them to another legendary duo. “They’ve kind of realized that it’s kind of like a Jason and Carly relationship,” he explained. They have so much love for each other that a romance just doesn’t feel right anymore.
Drama Brewing with Rocco
Of course, there is also the massive secret Rocco is keeping. We all know it was Rocco, not Jason, who shot Cullum on the pier. Once that truth finally comes out, expect some serious fireworks between the two boys.
“I’m super glad Danny and Rocco are finally going to go at it,” Asher said. He mentioned that since they have been like brothers for so long, he is actually excited to play out some real conflict between them.
