It is always a treat when the lines between real life and soap opera drama blur. The news that Elliot Carr is joining the cast is a perfect example of that magic.
Finn Carr, who has won over fans as Rocco Falconeri, is the actor’s real-life brother. It is clear that the talent runs in the family, and Finn is definitely hyped to have a familiar face at the studio.
The Reaction Heard ‘Round the Set
The way Finn found out about the news is honestly sweet. Speaking with Stephanie Sloane, who was first to share the casting scoop, Finn admitted that he was so pumped that he literally jumped out of his chair and screamed.
“Funny story — when I found out Elliott was joining GH, I literally jumped out of my chair and screamed,” Finn says.
The celebration was so loud that he accidentally jump-scared Alexa Havins (Lulu) and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) while they were trying to run lines.
For Elliot, stepping onto the set for his June 1 debut was more than just a career milestone. “Getting to be on the same show as my brother was an amazing opportunity and experience,” he says.
The only downside for fans is that we won’t see the brothers in the same scene just yet.
Elliot confirmed that their schedules didn’t overlap for this particular run, which is a bit of a bummer.
However, they are both hoping for a do-over in the future. Sharing the screen has been on Elliot’s bucket list for a long time, and he’s ready to come back whenever the show calls. Here’s hoping the writers find a way to get these two brothers together for a Port Charles scene soon!
