As promised, at the end of the General Hospital episode, which airs on Friday, January 23, viewers will see a special montage in honor of Anthony Geary, who won eight Daytime Emmy awards during his tenure on the show. Geary passed away in December of 2025.
A Special Montage in Honor of Anthony Geary
Ahead of the episode, the montage was posted on the show’s different social platforms. The video features some of Geary’s most memorable and touching scenes as Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), Genie Francis (Laura), and Laura Wright (Carly) speak fondly of him. The caption read, “Tony Geary will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, old friend.”
In the video, Grahn said, “Tony was a master craftsman. He was a deep thinker, curious, generous, and delightfully naughty. That was my favorite part about him.”
Meanwhile, Wright chimed in, “Tony Geary was an incredible man, an amazing actor, and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to share the stage with him.”
And Francis added, “Some people were so alive that they’ll never be gone.”
Why Was the Montage Pushed Back?
The montage was supposed to air at the end of the Jan 22 episode; however, due to the show being preempted on Tuesday because of President Donald Trump’s press briefing, it was pushed back.
Anthony Geary will be remembered for his decades-long run on General Hospital as Luke Spencer. He will forever be in our hearts. Rest Well, Tony. See the special montage below!
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. If you don’t want to miss a minute of the drama, then tune in to what’s happening in and around Port Charles.
