General Hospital fans will soon get to see James Patrick Stuart in a brand-new project outside of Port Charles. Per a report from Deadline, the actor, best known for playing Valentin Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap, has joined the cast of the indie thriller Boot Lake.
The film marks the feature directorial debut of digital creator and filmmaker Christian Del Grosso, who recently wrapped production on the project.
James Patrick Stuart Joins Boot Lake
Set in a mysterious Tennessee lake town, Boot Lake centers on a young woman who returns to her childhood home after discovering a diary filled with buried memories connected to her family’s past.
As she starts uncovering the truth behind her mother’s death and a newly discovered inheritance, she becomes trapped in a growing web of manipulation, paranoia, and shifting loyalties. The deeper she digs, the more she realizes the people closest to her may not be who they seem.
The thriller features a strong ensemble cast that includes Willow Shields from The Hunger Games franchise, Nikki Roumel from Ginny & Georgia, Sebastian Amoruso from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Oscar and Golden Globe nominee Cathy Moriarty, D.B. Sweeney, Martin Kove, Alexa PenaVega, and James Patrick Stuart.
The film also adds another major project to Stuart’s already impressive résumé, which spans television, film, voice acting, and daytime television.
At the moment, a release date for Boot Lake has not yet been announced.
