Joshua Benard, son of General Hospital legend Maurice Benard (aka Sonny Corinthos), is looking for your help to bring his 2025 single “Ladybug” to life with a music video.
The song, released back in July, is already gaining traction, and Joshua is ready to take it to the next level. On his GoFundMe page, he writes:
“Hey, I’m Joshua. I wrote ‘Ladybug’ after a tough time, and honestly, I didn’t think it would really connect with people — I mean, it’s about a bug. But it meant a lot to me, so I started singing it to people on the street, and to my surprise, a lot of them really connected with it. Then I met these amazing film students at a park one day, and they loved the song and wanted to help make what would be my first music video. This is my first song and my first video, and I’m both nervous and excited to finally share it. Thank you to anyone who can help make it a reality.”
About Joshua Benard
Joshua goes on to explain that all contributions will go toward renting gear, securing locations, paying the crew, and covering production costs. He emphasizes that every little bit helps move the project forward.
For fans, Joshua may ring a bell: he’s the youngest of Maurice’s four children and had a brief stint on General Hospital back in 2018, playing a younger version of his dad’s character. More recently, he portrayed Adam Wright in episodes spanning 2022 to 2024.
Whether you remember him from GH or you’re just discovering his music, now’s the perfect time to support Joshua Benard and help turn “Ladybug” into a visual story fans can enjoy.
