The promo for the week starts off with Curtis and Portia in
bed together and Curtis tells her, “A new year, a new start”. It appears they will be giving their
relationship a real chance in 2022. Curtis
has been struggling ever since his father resurfaced. In the past, it has been alluded that Portia
has been keeping a secret from Curtis: that Trina is his daughter. In this new start of their relationship, will
Portia come clean to tell Curtis the truth especially after witnessing how much
he has been struggling with his own issues with his father?
The next part of the promo shows Drew telling Carly on the
bridge, “Is it possible that you blame yourself?”. Will this statement be in relation to Jason’s
death (for she and Sonny have put Jason in many dangerous situations over the
years) or will this be in relation to Nina keeping Sonny/Mike a secret for so
many months? It was Carly who upset Nina
when denying her access to their grandson, Wiley and therefore Nina didn’t tell
anyone Sonny was alive. Does Carly
question if she hadn’t pissed off Nina that Sonny could have come home sooner
and wouldn’t have developed feelings for Nina?
In the next snippet, it shows Nina and Sonny at his old
penthouse and Sonny says, “Hi honey, I’m home!”. Sonny appears to be drunk and probably told Nina
that Carly asked him to not go to their home.
The line is also a nice nod to the fact that Maurice Benard (Sonny) has
played Desi Arnaz in the TV movie “Lucy & Desi: Before the Laughter”.
The next part of the promo briefly shows Ava staring at
Nikolas, followed by Anna on the phone, and then Victor tells Valentin, “So
what do you say?”. One thing Ava, Nikolas,
and Anna have in common is that they know Valentin is up to no good and want
nothing to do with his dirty secrets.
However, they are all interested in what he is hiding. It appears Victor proposes Valentin with some
type of deal, but what could it be about?
Victor was in cahoots with Peter and wanted him to use Drew for his mind
mapping; maybe it’s in relation somehow?
The last part of the promo shows Laura gasping while looking
shocked and Kevin is standing behind her.
She clearly receives upsetting news.
Rumors have been spreading for a while now that something bad happens to
Luke which would be upsetting as they share children together. If this is true, it will be a good reason to have
some of the vets return for a storyline.
The voiceover for the promo says, “2022 brings the drama”. Fans can’t wait to see what unfolds as we learn
more about Marshall, the complexities of Sonny’s relationships with Carly and Nina,
what Victor is hiding and plotting, and what’s next for Laura!
