Ric Shares Big News with Sonny

On today’s episode of General Hospital, Sonny hangs out at home with Donna while she lists who she wants to invite to her party.
Sonny thinks it is nice of Donna to invite Justine, though he doubts she can make it. After all, she is busy working. Donna points out that she likes the ADA a lot. She adds that Sonny clearly does too since he smiles so much around her.
When the doorbell rings, Sonny suggests keeping Justine off the invitation list for now and offers to grab pizza instead. He answers the door to find Ric.
Sonny reveals they were just going over the guest list for the family barbecue, and Ric wonders if he made the cut. Donna confirms he is on the list. She even points out that Ric always makes time for the party despite being a busy lawyer. Ric then turns to Sonny and reveals the real reason for his visit.
Ric Announces He Plans to Propose to Liz
Later, after taking Donna out of the room, Ric reveals a ring. He plans to propose to Elizabeth tonight. Sonny advises his brother that he is moving too fast. However, Ric notes that he refuses to let Liz slip away. He does not want to lose her to some other guy. Sonny then asks if there is a reason to believe that another guy is in the picture.
Ric claims there is no other guy at the moment. However, he worries that if he waits too long, there could be.
Still, Sonny struggles to understand why he wants to propose right now.
Ric admits that fear is playing a big part in his decision. He fears that if he does not act soon, something will screw things up for them. He insists that when he is with Liz, he becomes the man he wants to be.
Sonny refuses to argue with that.
Ric acknowledges that he just wants her to be happy forever, and he hopes she gives him a chance to make that happen.
After Ric leaves. Sonny talks with Donna, who hides her invitation for Justine to the upcoming family BBQ.
Dante Offers to Help Liz
Meanwhile, Liz meets Dante at the field. She mentions that her team’s game didn’t go so well, so he invites her to watch his play. “I have to get home,” she explains, mentioning a bookcase project she needs to start. Dante mentions he’s actually pretty good at building furniture and offers to lend a hand. He even adds that helping her out would make his day.
Later at home, Dante arrives to help Liz with the bookcase. She notices he is injured and wants to put the project off. However, Dante proves to be as stubborn as ever, so Liz eventually gives in.
Liz gets some ice to tend to Dante’s injuries. She points out that the swelling is getting worse and insists he should at least get it checked out.
She even offers to take a look at it for him. Dante agrees to let her help.
“Now take off your pants,” Liz says.
Later, Liz is looking after Dante. Ric arrives with flowers, looks through the window, sees what’s happening, and jumps to the wrong conclusion.
He marches inside and demands answers. “What the hell,” he exclaims.
Emma Learns About Simon’s Plan
Elsewhere, Simon meets up with Trina, Emma, and Gio to pitch his marketing strategy for the day. He announces a huge idea: creating a major splash by promoting Gio and Trina as a couple.
Emma is surprised by the idea.
Simon makes his case to the group. He thinks the fans will be much more into them and their music if they believe they are a couple.
Trina and Gio are not on board with the plan. However, they do not want to come off as unappreciative.
Just then, Kai arrives and asks to speak with Trina alone for a second. The two of them head outside. Once they are away from the group, he reveals that he did it. He resigned as Willow’s intern, though he knows she will not be writing him any letters of recommendation.
Inside, Gio tells Emma he is not on board. He insists the only way this will work is with her by his side. If she is not in, he does not want any part of it.
Michael Wants to Talk About Aurora
At home, Curtis holds Des tightly while Jordan looks on. Jordan checks in on Curtis, who admits he feels Des is handling things much better than he is. Curtis isn’t sure he can survive the thought of being separated from him. Jordan reassures him that she and Trina will work overtime to ensure Des knows who his father is, adding that she expects him to be released quickly.
Curtis reflects on not being there to see Trina grow up and wishes he could at least do that for Des. Just then, his phone goes off. Jordan checks the screen and sees a message from Michael, who asks to stop by and discuss Aurora.
Michael arrives. He apologizes that this is happening to Curtis.
Jordan starts to leave them to talk, but Curtis invites her to stay. He explains that while he is in Pentonville, she will be his link to the outside world. Because of that, he wants to loop her in on the job.
They talk about the construction of the new building. However, Michael notes that he cannot oversee the operations because his hands are tied.
Michael thinks they need a new interim CEO. Curtis wonders if Michael has anyone in mind. Michael admits he was kind of hoping Curtis did.
“Actually, I do,” Curtis says as he turns to Jordan.
Jordan is hesitant. Curtis tries to convince her, but the baby starts crying, so Curtis runs off to attend to him.
In his absence, Michael encourages Jordan to take the position. He thinks Curtis will rest much easier knowing the company is in her hands.
Kai Confronts Willow

At Willow’s place at the gatehouse, Kai stops by for a quick visit. “Hello, Kai,” she says as she opens the door. However, he isn’t there for a social call—he has arrived to tender his resignation.
Kai drops a bombshell on Willow by telling her he was there the night she shot Drew. She quickly reminds him that he saw nothing and that the shooter could have been anyone. She then asks why he didn’t go to the police. Kai sternly informs her that he should have. And for the record, he still can.
Willow warns him that he cannot go to the police. She thinks they will have plenty of questions for him. They will especially want to know why he chose to work for her, since he knew she shot Drew.
Kai then accuses her of throwing Drew in the lake. However, she informs him that she did no such thing.
She wonders if that is why he went to Michael with the truth. Since he is being so honest, Willow wonders why he will not acknowledge that Trina was with him that night.
Willow knows both he and Trina gave Michael signed affidavits stating she shot Drew and that they were there that night. She even demands that he and Trina stop telling lies about her.
Kai points out that she is the one who needs to stop lying.
As he heads for the door, Willow warns him that he threw a grenade into her and Michael’s lives. She tells him that walking away will not be as easy as he thinks.
“Watch me,” he says as he heads through the door.
Brennan Advises Nina

Finally, Drew approaches Nina at the Metro Court pool. He points out the massive sense of deja vu, given their wet surroundings. Nina acts like she has no clue what he means. But Drew quickly shuts that down, reminding her that while she might pretend to forget what happened at the lake, “I sure as hell haven’t.”
Drew offers Nina a word of caution. “Don’t get too close to the edge. Wouldn’t want you to fall in,” he says.
As Drew leaves, Brennan arrives. Nina turns to him because she needs his help, hoping he can dig up dirt on someone.

Nina tells Brennan that Michael is blackmailing Willow. She thinks they need to stop him. Nina hopes he can find proof that Michael and Jacinda drugged Willow. However, Brennan warns her to stay out of it. He points out that Michael and Willow created a toxic situation. He tells her she cannot keep going to extreme measures to protect her daughter.
Suddenly, Nina looks over and sees Ava sitting with Drew. “What is he doing over there with Ava?” she asks.
Nina does not like what she is seeing. She promises to talk to Ava about this later.
Back to the subject at hand, Brennan opts not to dig up dirt on Michael. He admits it is admirable how much she loves her daughter. However, he thinks she needs to pull herself back before her daughter takes her down with her.
Her phone goes off, so Nina checks it.
“Guess who,” she says.
Ava and Drew Plot

Meanwhile, Ava arrives and sits down with Drew, apologizing for being late. He tells her it is fine since he was just catching up with Nina. Ava quickly realizes Nina will have plenty of questions about why she is meeting with Drew. However, Drew brushes it off, noting that if they are keeping score, it is nothing compared to what Nina and Willow did to him.

Drew and Ava are meeting to talk about their mutual enemy. Drew reveals that Jason has walked away from working for Sonny. He thinks they need to take advantage of this and go in for the kill. However, to pull that off, he tells her he is going to need her help.
Soon, they start talking about Sidwell’s properties. Drew reveals he has an interest in those assets and thinks Ava could be a big help.
She is completely on board with the idea, especially given her strong feelings about both Sonny and Valentin. Ava even encourages him to snap up some of the artwork she sold to Jenz. Drew loves the idea.
Just then, Brennan walks over and warns Ava about the kind of friends she keeps before heading out.
Afterward, Drew tells Nina that he plans to turn the tables on Brennan.
Nina Supports Willow
Later, Nina arrives and finds Willow upset. Willow reveals Kai resigned as her intern and things got intense between them.
Nina does not think this is new news, since she had suspicions about it for a while.
Willow starts thinking she should have taken Nina’s advice to make a truce with Michael. However, she admits she was blinded, and now Michael has all the power.
