General Hospital recap for August 25 features Valentin helping out Anna. Meanwhile, Jason advises Carly, Joe and Lucas come to an agreement, and Hudson makes a mysterious call.
Here’s what happened on today’s GH.
Key Takeaways
- Hudson makes a call.
- Lucas and Joe are going to live together.
- Lulu offers love advice.
- Ric lands two dates with the woman he loves.
Liz Supports Dante
In today’s episode of General Hospital, Liz is doing her duties at the hospital when Dante shows up.
“Why, Detective, what could I possibly do for you today?” she asks.
Dante informs her that he needs a wheelchair. Just then, Ric arrives and keeps a close eye on them. Liz gets the wheelchair and offers to roll Dante to the exam room while Ric spies nearby.
During the checkup, Liz advises Dante that he might need surgery. He doesn’t want that—anything but that. He explains that he finally got Rocco to join the team for the rest of the season. However, if he gets benched, his son might change his mind about playing.
Lucas and Joe Agree to Live Together… Temporarily

Meanwhile, Lulu stops by after agreeing to be temporary apartment mates with Lucas, and she meets Joe. She brought a gift for the housewarming. Soon, she learns about the lease mix-up and the decision to let Joe live there temporarily. Because of that, she decides to give them some space.
Since Lucas doesn’t have much furniture and Joe does, Lucas suggests they use Joe’s stuff.
“Does that mean you’re not charging me rent?” Joe asks.

Lucas explains that isn’t the case. Still, they agree on the arrangement and shake hands.
Elsewhere, Lulu finds Ric drinking and wonders what’s up. He assures her that his mood has nothing to do with Dante and Liz.
“This is a me issue,” he reveals.
He thinks he overreacted when he saw Dante in his underpants with Liz in the living room. Ric reveals he almost proposed, but he feels like he is pushing too hard, too fast. Lulu wonders if he really thinks proposing is the next best step, or if he’s just scared of losing Liz. Ric admits it could be both. He fears he’ll blow his second chance with her.
Obrecht Questions Britt
Across town, Anna has a panic attack in the elevator. Valentin shows up and tries to calm her down, hoping to get her to open up about what’s really going on.
“I’m right here, he tells her. Val says, “I’m not letting you go. I’m not going anywhere.”

At the Metro Court Garden, Britt and Liesl meet for a meal. Liesl notes she has been planning a trip to Australia to see Maxie and James, but hasn’t been able to go. They switch topics to Cassius and discuss getting to the bottom of what happened to him. Britt hints she might have a way to find out, though she can’t divulge too much detail.
Just then, Anna and Valentin arrive. Anna wants to leave, but Valentin encourages her to stay.
“I can’t do this,” Anna insists. After all, she is the police commissioner and doesn’t want to have an outburst in a public restaurant.
Peter Wants Anna to Kill
She eventually opens up and recalls being in the room at Wyndemere. In that moment, she was absolutely certain Faison was alive and coming for her. She knows he’s dead, but the experience shook her. Now, she worries the people she loves aren’t safe.
Valentin worries she’s experiencing PTSD and suggests she went back to work too soon. He thinks she should ask Dante to step in for her. However, Anna doesn’t want people to doubt her recovery. She worries the WSB is monitoring her and looking for an excuse to commit her. Valentin promises he won’t let that happen.
Anna promises she will be fine and plans to get a therapist who specializes in PTSD. Valentin offers to drive her home, but she objects. She says she’ll be fine, adding that she already took him away from Carly for too long.

Obrecht thinks there is only one person who can give her answers, so she starts walking over to Anna and Valentin. Before she can, Britt stops her and warns her against it. Britt explains that she is in legal limbo, and with Anna back as commissioner, Anna might look for any reason to arrest her.
Obrecht then wonders if her daughter went to the WSB to get answers about Cassius, hoping that isn’t the case. The subject changes, and Obrecht asks where things stand between Britt and Jason. Britt explains that things between them are fine. Obrecht continues to pry. She wants her daughter to be happy. Britt reassures her that they love each other, though she doesn’t want to jinx anything. Obrecht grabs her phone to text Jason, but Britt tries to stop her.
Joss Takes the Job
Elsewhere, Hudson is stunned when Joss changes her mind and accepts the CEO job at JJE. He suspects she has an ulterior motive to sabotage and spite her father, especially since she previously turned it down a hundred times.
Joss insists that isn’t the case and explains that she takes the role seriously. It took her time to realize she could put her own stamp on JJE. She hopes he will support her, but notes he can resign if he can’t. Hudson promises that won’t be necessary and gives her his full support.
However, after she leaves, Hudson makes a secretive phone call.
“She’s taken the job as CEO,” he tells the person on the other end. “She needs to change her mind. I’ll make it happen.”
Jason Advises Carly

Meanwhile, Jason tries to encourage Carly. She is worried about what the WSB will do to her daughter, fearing Joss might end up like Anna. Jason tells her to trust Joss and stop fighting her.
Carly assures him she isn’t meddling; she just wants to keep Joss out of the WSB. When Jason assumes Carly isn’t doing anything to pull Joss away, Carly pushes back.
“I didn’t say that,” Carly reveals.
She mentions the JJE position, thinking it’s a good fit and that a slight nudge wouldn’t hurt. Jason warns that manipulating Joss could easily backfire. Carly agrees, not wanting her daughter to lose trust in her.
Suddenly, Jason’s phone goes off with a text from Britt’s mom asking to meet. He hesitates to leave Carly, but she assures him she’s fine. Valentin then shows up and updates Carly. She’s glad he could be the friend Anna needs. Her reaction surprises Valentin so much that he plants a kiss on her.
Ric Lands Two Dates
Later on, Dante asks Liz if she’s heard from Ric since he walked in on them. She says she hasn’t, but right on cue, her phone rings.
It’s Ric. He invites her to Sonny’s upcoming barbecue, and she agrees. She then invites him to an art exhibit, and he accepts.
After hanging up, Ric turns to Lulu.
“I just scored two dates with Elizabeth. Not one, but two. Lulu, you are a genius.” He admits he couldn’t have done it without her help.
Meanwhile, Jason joins Obrecht and Britt. Obrecht wants to celebrate his heroism and the way he came through for Rocco and Britt. She mentions hosting a Labor Day barbecue and asks him to attend, which Jason promises to do.
“See, a perfect gentleman,” Obrecht says as Anna looks on.
As the moment unfolds, visions of Peter start plaguing Anna again:
“You already know the only way to find peace is to kill her. And if anyone tries to stop you, you kill them too.”
