Justine Can Handle Sonny
On today’s episode of General Hospital, Justine stops by to thank Molly for her help with the case. She mentions that she’s headed to dinner at Sonny’s house.

Molly thinks it makes sense that Justine’s feelings toward Sonny are softening after he saved her life. Justine points out that the dinner invitation didn’t come from Sonny. It came from Donna, and she couldn’t bring herself to disappoint her. Molly asks if it will be awkward having dinner with Sonny and his daughter.
“Don’t worry,” Justine warns, “I can handle Sonny.”

Later, Chase swings by to see Molly. He lets her know that he is there off the books. He explains that Brook Lynn is managing Trina and Gio, and she mentioned how upset Trina is over Curtis being sent to prison. Chase notes that the Ashford family still doesn’t feel like they have any real closure.
Chase points out that the PCPD still hasn’t uncovered the identity of the other driver in the accident. He tells her he thinks they need to get to the bottom of things.
Molly thinks it’s going to be impossible to find the other driver. Chase understands her doubt, but he still wants to give the Ashford family real answers.
The Guests Start Arriving
Over at Sonny’s place, the family is getting ready for a barbecue. Brook Lynn arrives with baby Phoebe and asks for a spot to lay her down. Sonny has Donna show her to the guest room.
Soon after, Dante shows up with Rocco. Sonny asks how Rocco is doing. Rocco notes he’s doing pretty well. Dante adds that they could all use some solid family time.
Awkward Moments
Then Ava drops by with a gift for Avery. She tries to take it up to Avery’s room, but Sonny tells her that’s not necessary. The two start bickering about their daughter. Finally, Sonny tells Ava she needs to leave. He doesn’t want the arriving guests to see how bad she is for their daughter. Ava is left completely appalled.
Ava points out that his obvious contempt for her isn’t good for Avery. Sonny reminds her that Avery isn’t around. He adds that the rest of the family doesn’t like her either, so she shouldn’t stick around.

“Fine, I don’t want to spend any more time with you than absolutely necessary anyway,” she tells him as she storms out. Michael comes out right after and confirms that it was Ava leaving.
Later, as Sonny talks with Dante, Ric and Elizabeth arrive. Liz talks to Dante and asks if he has been icing his knee. He promises he has. Since the potato salad needs to get to the fridge, she offers to follow him inside.
Meanwhile, Sonny points out to Ric that he noticed Liz wasn’t wearing an engagement ring. Ric reveals he decided to follow Sonny’s advice to take things slow. Sonny tells him he made the right decision.
Rocco enters and asks for Dante. He then decides to make an exit, texting Scout on his way out.
Emma and Gio Overhear an Argument

Emma and Gio are kissing when they hear Brook Lynn’s voice, so they quickly hide.

Michael comes in and starts arguing with Brook Lynn while Gio and Emma overhear the whole thing. The two end up bickering about Willow moving back into the gatehouse.
Finally, Gio walks out from hiding.
“Someone tell me what’s going on here?” he asks.
Gio comes to his mother’s defense. However, Brook Lynn notes that Michael isn’t actually doing anything to her.
Neither Gio nor Brook Lynn can understand how Michael could move Willow back into the gatehouse. Michael defends his actions, stating there was simply no other solution, and walks out.
Gio wonders if everything is okay between his mom and Chase. She promises him that they are fine. She mentions that things are a bit scratchy between her and Michael right now, but they will be okay.
Gio tells her that if she ever needs him, he will always be there for her.
Here Comes Justine

Justine knocks on the door, and Donna answers it.
“You’re just in time,” Donna tells her before bringing her inside.
“Daddy, look who’s here… surprise!” Donna shouts.
Justine explains that she thought it was just going to be the three of them. She had no idea his whole family would be there. Sonny notes that he told Donna that Justine was unavailable because of work. Justine claims she only stopped by to drop off the cupcakes. However, Donna invites Justine to stick around for a game of cornhole.
Liz helps Dante clean up and notices he has ketchup on his cheek, so she helps wipe it off.
Ric walks in, sees them, and offers extra napkins if they need them. Dante then leaves to bring in the dirty dishes.
Liz tells Ric she thinks she owes him an apology because she assumed he would be upset seeing her with Dante. Ric assures her he’s just glad she came. She tells him it’s nice seeing him surrounded by his family.
Kai Tells Trina the Truth
Meanwhile, Kai admits to Trina that he wasn’t fully upfront about everything that went down with Willow. Trina is shocked to learn that Willow threatened to pin the shooting on Kai. She worries about Willow actually making good on that threat. Kai tells her there is no need to worry because he already went to Alexis.
Drew and Ava Get to Scheming
Over at the Metro Court pool, Drew arrives to tell Scout there’s been a change of plans. Drew tells Scout that he knows they were supposed to have dinner tonight. However, an urgent meeting came up that he can’t postpone. He explains that he was looking forward to spending time with her. Right now, though, he is focused on transitioning from politics to the corporate world.

Ava arrives and tells Drew about Sonny embarrassing her. She asks if he has hatched a plan to handle Sonny yet. Drew reveals that before he can do that, there is another obstacle he needs to take care of first.
Drew reveals that Jack Brennan has something he needs to get back. Ava immediately warns that she doesn’t want anything to do with the WSB. Nevertheless, Drew notes that once he gets Brennan out of the way, he can finally focus on Sonny. He asks her to keep Brennan busy while he breaks into his hotel room.
Ava wonders how she’s going to play this off since she and Brennan aren’t exactly friends. Drew suggests she tell him she has a story for him. However, Ava makes it clear she doesn’t want to give the WSB any kind of statement.
Drew assures her that she won’t be making a statement. All he needs is 20 minutes. Ava just hopes this does not come back to bite her.
Scout Meets with Rocco
Scout meets with Rocco at the Quartermaine boathouse. She explains that she and her dad were supposed to have dinner, but he canceled because something came up.
Rocco tells her about the family barbecue. She wonders why he didn’t say anything earlier. He admits he wanted to leave anyway.
She admits she wishes her own family could pull off events like that. Rocco mentions the cornhole game and suggests they should go play. so they have their own version at the lake.
Alexis Threatens Willow

In her office, Willow gets confronted by Alexis. Alexis warns her that she knows all about the shooting because Kai filled her in. On top of that, Alexis reveals she knows Willow threatened to pin the whole thing on Kai.
“Enough, this ends now,” Alexis says. Willow tries to spin the situation and tells Alexis that Kai simply resigned from his internship. Alexis notes that it has been since January—ever since Kai and Trina came to her with the whole story. Alexis explains that she couldn’t tell the judge the truth at the time because Drew threatened to keep her granddaughter away from her, though she wishes she had spoken up. She also tells her that she checked the phone records. She confirms that Kai and Trina’s accounts align perfectly with the call Willow’s phone received from Wiley.

Willow wonders what Alexis is going to do with the truth. Alexis warns that she will do nothing for now. However, if Willow tries to do anything to Trina and Kai, Alexis will make sure she never sees her kids again.
“One look in their direction and I promise you I will go public with everything I know,” Alexis tells the congresswoman.
Willow gets emotional as she explains the reasoning behind her actions. She tells Alexis that she, of all people, should understand what it’s like to fight for her kids.
