Spoilers for General Hospital on August 3, 2023: Trina opens up to Dex. Kristina makes an unwelcome interruption. Cody voices his suspicions. Josslyn chides Spencer. Eddie Maine is surprised by what he learns.

General Hospital Episode Recap August 3, 2023: Olivia Bonds With Neddie

Ava goes to GH to look for Austin but he is with a patient so she goes to wait in his office. Curtis is in his room, thinking about everything that has happened since he woke up and he throws his phone in frustration as Stella walks in. He tells her that he can’t deal with a pep talk right now and she tells him that’s not why she is there. She comforts him and encourages him to let his family be there for him. Austin comes in and talks to him about the next steps and what he will have to do after he gets out of rehab. Once he is alone Curtis cries and hits his legs in frustration. 

Dex sees Trina in the lobby and she is upset about Curtis. He offers to lend her a shoulder and a listening ear and she takes him up on it, telling him about what she has been feeling about Curtis and everything that happened since she found out he could be her father. Dex shares with her about friends who were injured in the military and advises her to give him space but not give up on him. Trina thanks him and lets him walk her out.

In his office, Ava confronts Austin about Gordon and asks if he killed him. Austin tells her that’s not what he does. When he has to go see another patient she rifles through his files to try and get information on Gordan and he catches her when he comes back. She confronts him about there not being a file on Gordon and he admits that Mason made him treat Gordon off the books. She mentions Sonny and Austin is immediately on guard. She tries to calm him down by telling him that she told Sonny that he helped her but then Austin wants to know if she told Sonny about killing Nikolas.

Joss is working at Kelly’s to help Carly out when Spencer comes in with Esme and Ace. Joss is cool toward Esme but when Kristina comes in, she fawns all over her baby cousin. Joss and Kristina snark at each other before Kristina leaves and Esme comments on it to Spencer. Joss tells her that it’s none of her business and then goes back to work.

At home, Molly and TJ prepare for their meeting with the surrogacy coordinator. She gets there and the meeting is going well until Kristina barges in, complaining about Joss being a bitch. She realizes they are in a meeting and when Molly explains what it is about Kristina talks up Molly and TJ as wonderful people who will make amazing parents before leaving quickly. 

The rest of the meeting goes well and the coordinator discusses the next steps with Molly and TJ before leaving. Molly said she was angry at Kristina but it also solidified her decision to not ask her to be their surrogate or to donate an egg. Back at Kelly’s Spencer confides in Joss that he feels bad for Esme because no one but Kristina has been nice to her. Joss is unsympathetic to Esme and encourages Spencer to go to Trina at GH because she needs his support. Kristina comes in and suggests that Spencer spend the day with Esme and Ace instead and he decides to take her suggestion. After he leaves Kristina sarcastically apologizes to Joss. 

Cody walks into the stables and finds Brook Lynn feeding one of the horses. She tells him that she was just taking a break from work and asks about his injury. He plays it down and they talk about Sasha. Cody is convinced something is going on but Brook Lynn tries to convince him that this is part of a pattern of mental illness for Sasha. Cody doesn’t believe it and is convinced Gladys had something to do with what happened to Sasha. Brook Lynn tells him that Gladys has issues but she loves Sasha. Cody isn’t convinced and after Brook Lynn leaves to go back to work he calls Ferncliff to ask about visiting hours. He finds out that he isn’t on Sasha’s visitor list and that the list was made by Gladys.

Ned approaches Olivia in the kitchen and thanks her for breakfast the previous day. She rags on him a little for going out clubbing again the night before and he questions if she ever had fun. Olivia surprises him when she tells him about her wild child days before she got pregnant with Dante. She tells him about the clubbing she used to do with Lois and he is impressed. Brook Lynn comes into the kitchen and is happy to see them relaxed and enjoying each other’s company.
