Laura Wants Peace

On today’s episode of General Hospital, Drew is getting ready to leave when Laura and Sonny corner him at the Metro Court. Drew explains that this feels like an ambush. However, Laura insists it isn’t. She promises it will only take a moment, and she believes he’ll see that it’s in his best interest just as much as theirs.

Drew points out that she needs to say what she’s got to say because he has important business to handle. To that end, Laura reveals she is taking a short leave of absence. She’ll be out of town, so she wants him and Sonny to keep the peace while she’s away.

“That’s why you insisted to talk to me… to ask the impossible?” Drew asks.

Drew Wants to Beat Sonny

He explains that there is no peace with Sonny, and there hasn’t been for years. In fact, any calm that may have existed was simply because he was trapped in a wheelchair for months.

Laura mentions the piers, knowing that both Sonny and Drew are interested buyers. She realizes this creates a major conflict and hopes one of them will bow out. Sonny explains that he is a respectable businessman now; those piers were his before, and they will be his again.

“Do not stand in my way,” he warns. Drew points out to Laura that Sonny’s remark was a direct threat. However, Laura takes no time in reminding Drew that this is her town—and she has had enough of this crap.

Sonny notes that Drew is only going after the piers to spite him. Drew has had enough and calls out Laura for aligning herself with a mob boss, but Laura doesn’t care what he thinks. When Drew decides to leave, Sonny suggests he’s rushing out because his hands aren’t clean.

Sonny promises Laura that she has nothing to worry about while she’s gone.

Dante meets with Britt at the Metro Court Gardens. She orders sparkling water, which makes him wonder why. She explains that she’ll need a clear head for whatever he wants to discuss. Britt then asks if he found a way to bring kidnapping charges against her.

“I’m still working on that,” he tells her. He then reveals he actually wants to talk about Rocco.

Dante notes that Rocco hasn’t been around much lately, adding that he’s been distant and withdrawn. Britt doesn’t think that sounds like Rocco at all. Dante just hopes his son isn’t hiding something again. He knows Rocco confides in Britt, so he wonders if there is anything she knows that he should be aware of.

Dante wishes his son would open up. However, Britt points out that he’s a teenager, and it’s completely normal for him to pull away. She suggests that the more Dante tries to fix things, the more Rocco will feel his parents don’t trust him to handle things himself. She reminds him that Rocco loves both of his parents, adding that she appreciates Dante reaching out to her. Right then and there, Britt says goodbye and exits.

Valentin and Carly Plot Against Drew

Valentin and Carly are kissing when her phone rings. It’s something urgent she has to attend to. “We’re going to have to put a pin in it,” she tells him. Carly adds that romance is the last thing on her mind right now.

Valentin figures it must be one important phone call for Carly to step away from what they were doing. She points out that the call came from the front desk and that Drew is currently in the building.

Valentin thinks they should capitalize on it whenever Drew makes a mistake. However, Carly notes that Drew hates three key men in her life, and she isn’t going to sit back and watch that play out. She begs Valentin not to try and stop her. He promises he won’t—he wants to help instead.

Carly wants to head into Drew’s office and search it on her own, thinking that’s the best way to handle it. Nevertheless, Valentin reminds her that they are better together.

Curtis and Sidwell Are Inmates

At Pentonville, Curtis is surprised to learn that his inmate is Sidwell. Sidwell thinks they are going to be fast friends. However, Curtis tells him that will never happen.

Curtis promises he will do everything in his power to get out as soon as possible. Sidwell assures him they share the exact same goal. He adds that the last thing he needs is trouble from a cellmate.

“After all, who wants to wake up with their throat cut?” Sidwell warns.

Sidwell thinks they have something in common, but Curtis doesn’t agree. Sidwell chalks up his actions to grief. He suggests perhaps they should ask themselves why they are suffering these consequences when criminals like Sonny Corinthos—who have done far worse—get to walk free.

Curtis notes that he doesn’t have a problem with Sonny and never has. However, Sidwell warns that as a former police officer, Curtis is in real trouble. He adds that whatever Sonny has planned for him puts Curtis directly in the crossfire, simply because they are cellmates.

Brennan Drinks the Drugged Drink

Brennan returns to the table after Ava drugs his drink. He tells her he’s sorry, but he has to go because something came up. She tries to stop him. Ava claims she has a warning that involves a mutual friend, inviting him to take a drink because he might just need it. She brings up the blow-up the two of them had, adding that she has some key insights and can help him navigate things with Ava.

“In that case, I suppose my call can wait,” he says as he starts sipping the drink.

Ava notes that Nina has a long history of sabotaging things because of her relationship with Willow. Brennan agrees, pointing out that guilt is a central issue—the exact same issue Nina had with her own mother. He says he made the mistake of getting between a mother and daughter before, and it cost him. That is something he will never do again.

Ava thinks the situations are different, but Brennan disagrees. He thanks her for the warning and decides to head out.

Meanwhile, Drew deactivates the power and the alarm system at the Metro Court. At the same time, a groggy, overheated Brennan steps onto the elevator.

Drew then breaks into Brennan’s hotel room. Ava rushes up to the room to warn Drew, knocking urgently on the door.

Rocco and Scout Learn a Secret

At the boathouse, Willow apologizes for leaning on Chase. He tells her she has nothing to apologize for. After all, nothing happened between them, and nothing is going to.

Chase believes things will eventually ease up for Willow. She apologizes that he didn’t get to take his swim, but he tells her it’s okay and that it will happen another time. Chase leaves, and Willow follows. A moment later, Rocco and Scout walk out.

“Oh my God,” Scout says. “Do you think Willow was in love with Chase the whole time she was married to my dad?”

Rocco points out to Scout that Willow didn’t actually say she’s in love with Chase. However, Scout begs to differ. Willow may not have said it with words, but her actions spoke volumes.

Later, Scout thanks him for helping her see things clearly.

Everybody’s Breaking In

Danny and Charlotte want to break into Drew’s office, hoping to find something they can use against him. They hear Valentin and Carly coming, so they quickly hide. Carly knocks on the door and claims she has a package for him. Once they realize he isn’t inside, they know they have to move fast to find something they can use against him.

Valentin finds something in the room. It has nothing to do with Sonny, Jason, or Michael, but it’s definitely what they are looking for.

Since their plan has been thwarted, Charlotte thinks there is still a way for them to get what they want. Charlotte takes Danny to the pool, thinking that since summer is basically over, they might as well have one last swim.

Charlotte decides to take a swim. Just as she enters the pool, she discovers a body floating in the water and screams in horror. It’s none other than Brennan.

Chase Opens up to Dante

Later, Chase meets with Dante. He opens up and admits he is in a tough situation with Willow.

Chase admits to Dante that having Willow stay in the gatehouse is tough on him. He hates seeing her in pain and just wants to be a supportive friend without making things worse. However, Dante doubts Chase can manage that, pointing out that he already has everything Willow wants.

Willow and Britt Bond

Britt orders a drink at the Metro Court, and Willow walks in, ordering the exact same thing. Britt didn’t invite her over, but Willow figures she’d join her cousin anyway. She gives in, telling Willow she can stay since she’s sitting by herself anyway.

The two women bond over past troubles in relationships.
