General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Friday, December 1, 2023:
What happened today on General Hospital: Carly has an interesting encounter at Kelly’s. Sonny gets a proposition. Ava makes a confession to Nina. Kristina consoles Molly. Brook Lynn panics from the family pressure.
GH Recap Today
Lois and Brook Lynn catch up in the kitchen. Brook Lynn tells Lois that Chase might have already left for Canada after her grandmother’s outburst about marriage. Lois thinks Brook Lynn is exaggerating and mentions how Chase didn’t seem too bothered by it. Brook Lynn admits that she and Chase haven’t really talked about marriage yet and that they are happy with their current arrangement. Chase then enters the kitchen and offers to help Lois with dinner, but Lois declines and tells him to relax and enjoy the wine.
Lois also apologizes for her mother’s behavior and explains that she’s just a romantic at heart. She then tells Chase that she’s happy he’s with Brook Lynn and thinks they make each other happy. After Lois leaves to take a call, Brook Lynn apologizes for her grandmother’s behavior, but Chase tells her not to worry about it. He encourages her to relax. Chase asks what are the three main important moments in her life. She tells him, her last time with Edward, when she wrote a song, and when she gained a brother in Leo. Chase tells her that he wants this moment to be on the list. As she inquires what he is talking about, he gets on one knee and asks her to marry him.
Liz and Finn have a date, during which Finn opens up to her about what happened with the GH attorney, Didi Clarke. Elizabeth assures Finn that Terry and Portia won’t let him be thrown under the bus. Finn expresses his concern about needing to be liked by the jury.
Liz reminds him that he has saved hundreds of lives and has the potential to save many more. Finn feels disheartened, saying that it’s not possible if he loses the malpractice suit. Liz tries to encourage him, saying that he does his best as a medical professional and can work on things to make the jury like him.

Molly and Kristina arrive at Kristina’s place, and it suddenly dawns on Molly that she has never been there before. Kristina is surprised and finds it strange. Molly then reveals that she left a folder filled with important information at the park, and Kristina says that she picked it up for her. Molly thanks her and then tells Kristina to open the folder when she inquires about the contents of it.
Molly then discloses that she is looking for new surrogate candidates, but TJ is completely unaware of it. She explains that TJ is not ready to revisit that path again. Molly also talks about her productive meeting with Dr. Navarro, but their mom showed up and interrupted them. Kristina questions whether their mom tried to discourage Molly from taking the meeting, but Molly says that she just advised her to be honest with TJ. Molly breaks down as she shares her deep desire to be a mom. Kristina reassures her that TJ will come around, and she even offers to be the surrogate. However, Molly insists that she needs to discuss it with TJ first and thanks Kristina for her kind offer.
At Kelly’s, a man arrives and Carly offers to get him something to eat. The man reveals that he is in Port Charles for business and has a craving for a burger. The man, Mr. Brennan mentions that his hotel recommended Kelly’s. Carly assumes he is staying at the Metro Court, which he confirms. Carly prepares his burger and asks him how it tastes. Mr. Brennan is pleased with the burger and tells Carly that it is delicious.
While they are talking, Carly notices a homeless man looking in the window. She dashes out and tells him he can’t be there. The homeless man pleads with her not to call the cops. Carly sees that it’s too cold outside and invites him inside, but he turns her down. Carly goes inside and gets him something to eat. Later, Mr. Brennan asks Carly why she fed the homeless man. He thinks her act was kind and generous. Carly tells him that she would have provided food to the homeless man anyway. Mr. Brennan gives Carly some money to give to the homeless man. Carly thanks him for coming to Kelly’s and hopes to see him again. As he is leaving, Hume tells Mr. Brennan that Corinthos has turned down the offer for a new shipment.
Ava confides in Nina about the disturbing mail she received. Nina is shocked and wonders who would send such a thing. Nina suggests Ava take this mail to the police, but Ava says that is the last thing she will do. Ava reveals that Dante has already come to question her.
Ava goes on further to open up to Nina and tell her about what happened with Nikolas and how she thought she killed him. She admits that she was trying to hide Nikolas’ body when Austin found her and helped her hide it. Ava further tells Nina about Mason and how Austin was working with him and Cyrus. Ava says she thought Austin was someone she could trust, but she is convinced that Austin knew Nikolas wasn’t dead all along. When Nina leaves, Ava puts the mail into the fire.

Dex and Sonny are having a conversation about Pikeman’s message. Sonny inquires about how long Dex had been following Austin. Dex clarifies that he only tailed Austin while the nanny, Betty, was working for Sonny. Sonny further asks Dex if he ever used force against Austin. Dex admits that he did use force when Ava was missing.
Sonny tells him that Austin was murdered. Sonny points out that if anyone saw that he roughed up Austin, they could assume that he was the one to kill him. He promises to take care of Dex if the cops ever come looking his way. Later, Hume arrives and tells Sonny that Pikeman needs him to facilitate another shipment. Sonny is hesitant and says he promised not to do anything for Pikeman until he knows who is responsible for the shooting at the Metro Court. Hume opens the briefcase full of money and tells Sonny that they are willing to pay double this time. Sonny claims he is not doing it, and Hume offers to relay the message. After Hume leaves, Sonny asks Dex what he thinks. He tells Sonny that he thinks he made a mistake. Sonny appreciates his insight but says his best move is to get out; he doesn’t want Pikeman investing in him. Nina arrives and confronts Sonny about Cyrus still being after him.
