General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Monday, December 11, 2023:
What happened today on General Hospital: Dex opens up to Josslyn about his past; Olivia and Lois are suspicious; Curtis tells Marshall about a possible treatment; and Violet has some questions for Chase and Nina makes an admission to Sonny.
Curtis tells his dad that if he can get his wish this year, he won’t ask for anything else. He informs his dad about an experimental procedure that Portia told him about. Although there are no guarantees, Curtis thinks it’s worth a try. He reveals that Portia submitted his name as a candidate. However, he has to make the final decision. Marshall assures him that he has his back no matter what he decides. Curtis informs his dad that the procedure is scheduled to start sometime in January or February and adds that he is scared.
Nina shows Sonny the things she bought. She mentions that she even got a new laptop for Dex. Sonny thinks she thought of everything. He asks about gifts for Amelia and Wiley. Nina shares her gift ideas for them, but Sonny thinks she should get Wiley something more. Nina admits that she doesn’t want to provoke Michael. Sonny thinks there shouldn’t be any tension between them. Nina is hopeful that things will get better in time, just like it did with Willow. She says she’s letting Michael set the pace. Sonny offers to talk to Michael, but Nina tells him not to. She does not want him advocating for her and she doesn’t want to be a point of contention between him and his son.
GH Recap Today
Sam and Dante are having a conversation about their Christmas plans. Dante takes out a key from his pocket, which surprises Sam as he hasn’t logged it yet. Dante explains that if he did, the key would have been taken away. He reveals that he hasn’t told Anna about the key yet, as Forsyth’s body has been confiscated by the WSB, and he doesn’t want to endanger her. Sam realizes that the WSB wants to keep Forsyth’s presence in Port Charles a secret, as the arson report is also missing. Sam agrees with Dante’s decision not to log the key yet, and says that he wants to investigate it himself before telling Anna. Although she understands Dante’s desire to protect Anna, she worries about who has Dante’s back.
Dex believes that Christmas is a holiday meant for children. On the other hand, Joss speaks about the enchanting magic of childhood. However, Dex argues that it only applies if you had a good childhood. Curious about Dex’s childhood, Joss asks him about it. Dex reveals that his father was a terrible person who constantly cheated on his mother. He further explains that his father did not even try to conceal his actions. Dex admits that he was the only sibling who refused to play along with his father’s behavior, which led to him being beaten up by his siblings. Dex admits that he and his mom were never close, but his brothers worshipped his father. Joss jokes about her choosing the right brother. Joss is glad Dex opened up to her and says it makes her love him even more.
Violet expresses her desire to sing at Chase and Brook Lynn’s wedding, but she doesn’t know when it is. Though the couple hasn’t finalized a date, they expect to get married within a year. Violet requests to be informed of the wedding date as soon as it is decided. Brook Lynn and Chase have to leave immediately to attend to Brook Lynn’s mother’s needs at the mansion. The rest of the group congratulates the engaged couple as they depart. Finn reminds Violet that it’s time for bed, and she asks Gregory to read her a bedtime story. As Gregory reads to Violet, Finn confides in Liz that this could be his father’s final Christmas.
Tracy has returned and is disappointed with the decorations at the Quartemaine mansion. Leo enters and sees Tracy, exclaiming that Christmas is ruined. He says he missed her, but she doesn’t like fun. As Leo leaves, Tracy tells the other women that there is too much garland and too many ornaments, and if Ned were in his right mind, they wouldn’t have had free reign. Tracy learns that Ned is back to his normal self, and no one thought to tell her. Olivia explains that they assumed he would want to tell her in person. Tracy is glad she came home and they wonder why she flew back so soon. She tells Lois and Olivia about Bobbie taking over the management of Luke’s affairs. Tracy returns to get paperwork proving that she has power of attorney over Luke. Lois and Olivia think she came back to be with her family for Christmas. Brook Lynn and Chase arrive, and Tracy notices that Brook Lynn looks unusually happy. She inquires why that is. Brook Lynn announces that she and Chase are engaged.
