General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for December 29, 2023:
What happened today on General Hospital: Spencer and Trina discuss their future together. Cyrus makes a confession to Nina. Esme visits Heather in prison. Lois learns shocking information on New Year’s Eve. Drew returns home early.
GH Recap Today December 29, 2023
Gregory is excited to go skydiving, but Alexis is running late. He trusts that she will make it, and when she finally arrives, she announces that she is determined to follow through with the jump, even if she feels like it might kill her. However, Alexis starts to panic and asks a lot of questions about the experience.
Alexis admits that every molecule in her body is telling her not to jump, but she still feels obligated to do it. Gregory decides to cancel the jump, but Alexis stops him and explains that she needs to be strong for her daughters. In the end, Alexis makes up her mind to go through with the jump. Afterward, Alexis tells Gregory that the experience was amazing and they kiss.
Spencer is waiting for Trina to get ready for a party. Before helping her zip up her dress, he notices a letter and inquires about it. She shares that it is a letter confirming that she has been accepted to study at the Sorbonne for a semester.
Trina is hesitant to go because she doesn’t want to leave Curtis, who is in recovery, and she’s afraid of missing Spencer too much. However, Spencer encourages her to take the opportunity and promises that they can make it work. He tells her that there is so much to do in Paris, even if she’s studying. Trina suggests that he come with her, and Spencer agrees, telling her that when the woman you love invites you to Paris, you say yes.

Esme goes to visit her mother, Heather, who is in prison. Heather asks why she came to visit and notices that something is different about her daughter. She asks how her grandbaby is doing and notices a look of contempt in Esme’s eyes. Heather realizes that Esme has regained her memory. Heather tells Esme that she has been observing her and can tell that it’s nice to meet the real Esme. Esme is relieved to be able to talk to someone about her conflicting feelings of being two different people. Heather assures her daughter that everything will be okay because she did the right thing by visiting her. Esme reveals that no one else knows about her memory loss and Heather encourages her to keep it that way.
Sonny wants to get ready for the party while his wife, Nina, has to finish the New Year bonuses. He acknowledges that he’s married to a generous woman, but doesn’t think he’s her top priority tonight. However, Nina reassures him that he is her priority and promises to finish her work and meet him before midnight.
Later, Cyrus visits Nina, who is busy. He reminds her that she doesn’t walk alone and that he was the priest during her confession. Nina then asks what he wants. Cyrus tells her that he wants her to confess. Nina says if anyone has to tell Sonny, it must be her.

Carly and Michael arrive at the party, and shortly after, Lois, Ned, and Olivia also arrive at The Savoy. Michael steps out to get champagne, and Carly takes the opportunity to confront Ned about the SEC scandal. She threatens to retaliate. As they argue, Lois points out the commotion to Olivia. Carly suggests that ELQ may need a visit from the FTC, and Ned grows agitated but eventually agrees to tell her the truth about Drew’s imprisonment and the tip-off to the SEC.
Michael interrupts the argument and takes Ned aside to talk in private. Meanwhile, Lois tells Olivia that they should strive for honesty instead of family disputes. Michael reminds Ned of their agreement, and Lois becomes curious about Michael’s decision to pass over his proxy to Ned. She wonders if Michael turned in his own mother to the SEC. Olivia denies this, but Lois cannot let it go. Carly decides to leave the party early.
Later, Lois realizes that Nina was the one who tipped off the SEC and that the motive was more about Carly than anything else. Lois wants to tell Sonny everything and she does give him a hint that something is going on.
Carly goes home and is surprised by Drew’s early return. They share a romantic moment as the fireworks go off.
