General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for January 10, 2024:
What happened today on General Hospital: It is the day of Bobbie Spencer’s memorial, as the town of Port Charles mourns the loss of their beloved friend. Felicia and Carly come together to honor Bobbie. Carly is forced to reckon with her family’s past and close her mother’s unfinished business.
GH Recap Today, January 10, 2024
It is an emotional time in the town as the residents prepare for Bobbie’s memorial service. Lucas returns to town and is welcomed by Josslyn and Michael. Carly receives a call from Liz. As she gets to Kelly’s she learns that the sign is broken. Liz offers to take care of it, telling Carly to go be with her family.
Carly arrives at the church and is greeted by everyone. They tell her to take her time, and Josslyn assures her that they are there for her, just as she is there for them. They enter the church and see a large picture of Bobbie. More guests arrive, and Carly is greeted by the residents of Port Charles, who have come out in large numbers for the memorial service.

Laura greets Carly and expresses how much she will miss Bobbie. Carly thanks Laura for agreeing to do the eulogy and Laura hopes she will do it justice. Tracy arrives and offers her condolences. Carly thanks Tracy for helping Bobbie with Luke’s affairs.
Willow arrives, and Michael thanks her for being there. Willow says she wouldn’t be anywhere else. Tracy spots Lucy and approaches her. Lucy insists they are not going to fight today. Tracy suggests they call a truce just for the day, and Lucy agrees.

Maxie cannot help but stare at a strange woman and asks Anna if she knows her. Anna says no but mentions that Bobbie interacted with many people over the years. Later, The pallbearers bring in the casket.
The father begins the service with an opening prayer, followed by Laura, who delivers a eulogy in honor of Bobbie, her sister-in-law and close friend. Laura expresses how much Bobbie touched many people’s lives and how getting to know her was a true honor. Bobbie was someone who led with her heart and loved without skepticism.
Scott then speaks, acknowledging that he is at a loss for words because it’s hard to memorialize someone like Bobbie, who was the best at everything. He notes that they were meant to be best friends and that he will miss her a lot.
Elizabeth then takes the stage and speaks about how Bobbie used her strength and healing to transform negative energy into positivity. She helped Elizabeth through some difficult times and many other people as well. Liz goes on to emphasize that Bobbie leaves behind a legacy that she will do her best to continue and hopes to make her proud.
Carly then addresses the congregation, acknowledging that while she and Bobbie had a unique relationship, they did not meet until they were adults. She reflects on how she was a mess when she first came to Port Charles, but Bobbie helped her through it. Carly concludes by saying the world is a very different place without her mother.

Maxie follows the strange woman who she believes may know Bobbie. The woman introduces herself as Angela (played by Brighton Hertford) and confirms she has worked with Bobbie. She is a reporter who is doing a story on her.
Lucas and Felix talk about Bobbie being a team player and the nurse’s ball, and Felix expresses how much he will miss her. While Carly is talking with Felicia, Maxie brings Angela to them to share some important information. They all head over to Kelly’s, and Carly insists that she doesn’t want the press to make a mockery of her mother’s death. Angela reveals that while in Amsterdam, Bobbie was devoting her time to charity, helping young women escape human trafficking. Bobbie had been in the process of filing for asylum for someone just before she passed away, and she was worried about the woman’s safety. Carly, feeling overwhelmed, rushes out for some air, and Felicia follows her.
Carly expresses her worry for the woman Bobbie was trying to help, and Felicia acknowledges that they have no leads.
However, Carly says they have one and meets with Tracy to ask for her help. Tracy is stunned to learn about what Bobbie was doing in Amsterdam. Carly wants to know if the woman Bobbie was trying to help is safe and asks if her mom mentioned anything about what she was doing in Amsterdam. Tracy says no, but she mentioned a cabin in Ontario that Luke had and a cafe that Bobbie visited frequently. Carly then tells Drew and Josslyn that she is going to Amsterdam.
As she headed out, Felicia comes along with luggage and tells Carly that she will like to go with her. Carly says that is not necessary, but Felicia convinces her to let her tag along and help her.
