General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for January 8, 2024:
What happened today on General Hospital: Carly and Elizabeth bond over Bobbie memories. Maxie and Felicia support each other over Bobbie’s death. Josslyn is furious with Michael. Tracy tells Brook Lynn about Scott and Lucy’s scheme. Lucy and Scott share a charged moment.
GH Recap Today, January 8, 2024
Felicia apologizes for her actions and admits to crossing a line. She explains that despite Cody not giving her a DNA sample, she took some strands of his hair from a hairbrush he used at Deception. While Maxie tries to stop Felicia from saying more, Sasha enters the room and realizes that something is going on. Cody then reveals that Sasha already knows about Felicia’s involvement, and Felicia confirms that she now knows the truth after running another DNA test.
Felicia admits that she knows that Cody is not Mac’s son, leaving Cody shocked. She asks for his forgiveness, and he forgives her. Felicia emphasizes that Cody is important to her family, and she does not want any secrets between them. Maxie decides to take the afternoon off and spend some time with her mom. Maxie and Felicia pay BJ’s graveside a visit where Maxie tells Felicia that losing Bobbie hurts so much.
After their departure, Cody turns to Sasha and exclaims, “What the hell just happened?” Sasha then explains that she had suspected something was amiss and trailed Felicia, only to discover that she was planning to carry out another DNA test on Cody. Fortunately, Sasha managed to replace the hair sample with her own. However, Cody rebukes Sasha, stating that she should not have intervened because he was already culpable of concealing the truth, and now Sasha has implicated herself by getting involved in the matter. Despite Cody’s objections, Sasha maintains that she does not regret her actions.

Lucy is currently on the phone trying to select the appropriate flowers for Bobbie’s funeral. She wishes to demonstrate proper respect for Bobbie, despite the fact that they used to argue frequently. However, Lucy believes that there was a certain level of mutual respect between them that ran deeper. Unfortunately, with Bobbie now gone, she feels that she won’t be able to make amends for their past conflicts. Later, Lucy confides in Scott and asks him to keep it a secret. She admits to feeling jealous of Bobbie, which is why she let her get under her skin so easily. Bobbie had the admiration and respect from everyone that Lucy craved, and this realization has left her feeling very emotional. Scott offers her his kerchief to dry her tears.
Tracy is in a meeting with Brook Lynn when Brook Lynn suggests rescheduling it because Tracy might be affected by Bobbie’s death, which happened shortly after Luke’s passing. However, Tracy decides to proceed with the meeting as planned.
When Martin walks in, Tracy asks him why he is alone, and he reminds her that Bobbie just died, so Lucy might not be up for lunch. Tracy points out that Lucy and Bobbie had a long-standing feud, and Martin informs her that Lucy and Scott are planning the memorial. Tracy finds it amusing and says that nothing good can come out of those two together.
Later, Tracy tells Brook Lynn that Lucy and Scott are trying to deceive her, but Tracy has a plan of her own to make them pay.
Carly is reminiscing about her memories of Bobbie at Kelly’s when Liz stops by. Liz understands that it’s a tough time for Carly and that she might want to be alone, but she shares that she knows about Bobbie’s passing and wants to be there to feel closer to her. Liz reassures Carly that she can reach out to her if she needs anything. She says, “I just wanted to be here to feel closer to Bobbie. I don’t want to intrude, but if there’s anything I can do for you or your family, please don’t hesitate to ask. I loved your mom“.
Liz walks away after the conversation, but Carly invites her to join her for a cup of coffee. Even though they haven’t been close, Liz is willing to be there for Carly during her tough time. However, the sink at Kelly’s is clogged, and Carly is unable to fix it. That’s when Elizabeth asks for a tool and repairs the sink. She tells Carly that the sink has been clogged since she worked there. Carly becomes emotional and expresses her desire to run Kelly’s smoothly and make Bobbie proud. Elizabeth assures her that she is already doing a great job. Elizabeth says that Bobbie was always there for her and she just wanted to feel that sense of security again. Later, Carly thanks Elizabeth for staying while Elizabeth heads out. As Carly closes up and heads out, there’s Sonny.

At the station, Dante comes in and informs his father that Bobbie Spencer died. Dante tells his dad that he is there for him. Dante says sometimes he is a cop but he is his son 24/7, but what he is seeing right now as his son is scaring him. Sonny reassures his son that he’s okay and not to worry about him. Diane arrives and requests a private moment with her client. She assumes that Sonny acted in self-defense during his altercation with Cyrus, but Sonny insists that Cyrus didn’t lay a hand on him.
When Diane finds out that Cyrus is stable, she informs Sonny that she can make bail arrangements for him and they can start discussing their next move regarding Nina.
Diane asks Sonny if she should start filing divorce papers, but he doesn’t want to talk about it at the moment considering the recent loss of his children’s grandmother. Later, Diane informs Sonny that his bail has been secured and he is free to go.
Willow and Josslyn embrace each other after hearing the news of Bobbie’s sudden passing. Willow expresses her desire to see Carly, but they inform her that Carly is not present. Josslyn leaves to check up on Acert and Donna while Willow talks to Michael.
Michael tells Willow that he’s happy to see her, but Willow questions why he didn’t call her last night. Michael apologizes for not calling and tries to make things right, but Willow tells him that she’s looking at their relationship in a different light now. She admits that he hurt her and that she needs space.
Before leaving, Willow promises to be there for Michael and his family during this tough time. As she departs, Josslyn confronts Michael about withholding the truth about Nina tipping off the SEC about Carly and Drew. Michael admits that he regrets lying, and Josslyn insists that it is not the time for them to fight.
