Spoilers for General Hospital on July 25, 2023: Ava comes clean. Liz and Finn go on a date. Sonny advises Dex. Brook Lynn issues a dare. Portia tries to provide comfort.

General Hospital Episode Recap July 25, 2023: Chase Proves He Can Break The Rules

Portia goes to see Curtis and is dismayed to find him researching his condition on his phone. She tells him that he is just going to upset himself and that he needs to just give it time and listen to his doctors. She orders dinner for him and then they discuss the future. She thinks they should rent a new place with no stairs for now so he can get around better but he is against that. Portia suggests hiring a contractor to make their house accessible for him and is shocked when Curtis tells her that if he is never going to walk again then she should let him go.

Dex calls Sonny and tells him about the body he found. Sonny tells him that he is busy and Dex needs to deal with it. Dex reports it to the police and when Dante gets there he questions Dex about if the dead guy has any connection to Sonny. The background check shows he is from Pautuck so Dante tells Dex he can go once he tells him what he was doing at the hospital. Dex tells him that he was checking on Curtis and Dante says he thought it would be something for Sonny.

Liz and Finn enjoy a nice dinner together and realize that their kids talked and all decided to make sure nothing went wrong so they wouldn’t be interrupted. Liz shares her love of painting with Finn and they talk until the kitchen is about to close and they are the last ones there. They share dessert and then a sweet kiss that leaves them both smiling.

At Wyndemere, Betty introduces herself to Sonny and Ava gives her a glowing review. They go over her resume and Sonny tells her that he and Ava have to talk and they will give her an answer the next day. After she is gone Sonny demands to know what is going on because he can tell Ava is hiding something. She breaks down and tells Sonny about Mason forcing her to get him to hire Betty so that she can have access to his penthouse and get information on his deal with Pikeman. Sonny wants to know what they are holding over her head and she confesses to him that she killed Nikolas and that Mason knows.

Chase and Brook Lynn go out to the MetroCourt pool to be alone after dinner. They see that it’s closed but stay after Brook Lynn teases Chase about not breaking any rules. He tells her that he used to be a rule breaker and she doesn’t believe him. Chase tries to prove it by telling her that he had a motorcycle and used to skinny dip. Brook Lynn dares him to skinny dip in the pool to make her believe him and instead he offers her a challenge. Whoever catches the least peanuts in their mouths gets naked and gets in the pool. She agrees and they do it but Brook Lynn loses. She starts to undress and kisses him but he stops her and gets naked himself, telling her that he will pay her debt and then jumping into the pool! She is waiting for him with a towel when he gets out and they share a kiss.
