Spoilers for General Hospital on July 26, 2023: Sam and Dante discuss a case. Portia is caught off-guard. Michael and Willow affirm their love. Dex briefs Josslyn. Ava has some explaining to do.

General Hospital Episode Recap July 26, 2023: Sonny Promises To Deal With Everything

Portia is shocked when Curtis tells her to leave but she refuses to go. She tells him that she is his wife and she loves him and they will deal with this together. Curtis doesn’t want her pity and she tries to convince him that is not what she feels but he refuses to budge. He tells her that he doesn’t want to see Trina again either because he doesn’t want to be a burden on her. Portia does everything she can to get through to him but finally, he explodes on her for keeping the Trina secret and tells her that he doesn’t trust her and doesn’t want a life with her. Portia leaves his hospital room, heartbroken.

At the Gatehouse, Michael catches Willow folding laundry and she confesses to him that she dreamed about doing things like that when she got home from the hospital and worried that she would never be able to. They fold the laundry together and talk about how lucky they are to have each other and their kids and the life they have. They share cookies and milk with Wiley before bed and then Amelia wakes up and the family hangs out together. Wiley confesses how scared he was when Willow was sick and then falls asleep with her while Michael holds Amelia and talks to her about how lucky her Dad is to have them all.

Dex is sweating in his hot apartment after the power goes out. Joss arrives to see him and wants to know what is going on because she didn’t hear from him in over 30 hours. He tells her what happened with finding Gordon dead and what led up to it and then they take turns cooling each other off with ice cubes before taking things to the bedroom.

Sam is working when Dante comes home late and is happy she is still up. He goes to take a shower and then they talk about what she was working on, Sasha’s case. She feels there is more going on and has a feeling Selina Wu and Gladys are involved. They start to make out on the couch but are interrupted by Cody’s arrival. He has checked himself out of the hospital early and collapses in Dante’s arms as soon as he opens the door. They get him to the couch and change his bandages and he tells them that he thinks Gladys has something to do with what happened with Sasha. They let him stay the night and once he is asleep Dante carries Sam upstairs to finish what they started before he arrived.

Ava confesses to Sonny that she killed Nikolas and that Mason knows. She tells him everything that happened and how Austin helped her and them finding out Mason had moved the body and used it to blackmail them both. She is worried about her mother and going to prison for killing Nikolas but Sonny promises her that he will take care of everything. He gets in his car and makes a call. He tells the person he calls that he needs them to find someone, dead is ok but alive would be better!
