General Hospital Recap March 28, 2024: Today on GH – Tempers fly at Jason’s arraignment. Carly and Alexis are surprised. Sonny has his doubts. Sam gets some hope. Nina is insistent.

Joss runs into Kristina at the courthouse and asks how Dante is doing. Kristina replies that there’s been no change. Joss comments that it’s good to hear that he’s still putting up a fight. Joss can’t understand why they’re wasting time with the hearing. She insists that they should be out there looking for the real shooter.
Kristina informs her that they’ve already found the shooter. Joss argues that Jason couldn’t have shot Dante. Kristina insists that the evidence says otherwise. She adds that her sister and father believe Jason is guilty. As Joss walks away in frustration, Liz approaches and Kristina warns that people are going to have to pick sides at this arraignment.
Diane insists she’s not doing this out of the goodness of her heart, Jason is just a client. When Carly asks if that’s her story, Diane says she is sticking to it.
Emotions Run High
Drew and Olivia show up at the courthouse, and Olivia notes there’s been no change on Dante. Emotions start running high and Drew says this is not the place.
Olivia warns Michael and Carly that they need to open their eyes and walks off. Carly says that’s because she only heard one side and no one has heard Jason’s side. She notices the look on Michael’s face and starts questioning him. Michael tells her reveal anything there.
Joss comes in and mentions she had a little brawl with Kristina. Nina arrives and asks how Dante is doing. Carly tells her there’s been no change and if she came to the courthouse to see Sonny, he’s nowhere around.

Nina claims she came to thank Carly because she’s now back running Crimson. Carly tells her she doesn’t give a damn about the magazine as Olivia overhears and asks Drew about his status of things with Carly. He reveals they broke up. The court is now in session as everyone is seated and Jason is brought in.
Sam sits by Dante’s bedside, reading him a book and telling him he better wake up soon. Portia shows up and they step outside to chat. Sam asks Portia to stop the hospital from moving Dante to a long-term care facility, but Portia explains that the ICU can’t provide the care he needs.
She promises to look into transferring him instead. Sam wonders what Portia would do if it were Curtis in this situation, and Portia vows to find some answers.
Dante’s Move Gives Sam Hope
While Sam is with Dante, Stella arrives, and they introduce themselves. Sam apologizes to Stella for lashing out at Portia earlier, and Stella empathizes with the frustration of not being informed about the hospital’s decision.
Stella reassures Sam that Dante is a fighter and needs to be in a place that provides him with the proper tools to fight. Sam is hesitant about sending Dante to Turning Woods, feeling like it’s giving up, but Stella encourages her saying it might help him wake up sooner. Sam also worries about Rocco. She notes that he already went through this with his mom and doesn’t want to put him through it all over again.
Stella convinces Sam. She promises to talk to Olivia and Sonny about getting Dante transferred to Turning Woods. As she’s sitting with Dante, he makes a move and accidentally spills her water on the floor. Sam gets all excited and pleads with him to open his eyes.

Molly’s giving her opening speech as Danny sneaks into the courthouse. The judge asks Jason for his plea, and he says not guilty, Your Honor.
Molly’s pushing for no bail as she points out that Jason is a flight risk. But then Diane makes her case for her client noting that if he wanted to run, he would have already. The judge, fully aware of everything, is ready to make his ruling. He sets bail at a whopping $5 million.
Danny then slips out of court, with Elizabeth hot on his trail. Joss hopes Michael brought his checkbook, and he heads off to pay up. The bailiff comes to take Jason, and he asks for a minute, going in for a hug with Carly as Drew watches.
Drew fills Alexis in on the news that Nina’s back at Crimson, which means she won’t be able to torment her too much. Meanwhile, Diane, Michael, and Joss then head to the PCPD to get the bail sorted for Jason. After bail is cleared, Michael wants to take Jason home but he says he cannot go home yet.
Back at the courthouse, Kristina tells Molly she’s so dang proud, and Alexis heaps praise on her daughter for the amazing job she did in court. Outside Kristina sees Nina who is anxiously waiting for Sonny. Kristina admits that despite everything, she is keeping her fingers crossed that they can work things out.

Sonny gets home and Ava asks about Dante. He tells her there’s no change. She offers to help before he leaves again, and he jokes about being kicked out of his own house. Ava thought he was going to Jason’s arraignment, but Sonny says he’s not going because the last thing he wants is to see the man who hurt his son.
He blames himself for Dante getting hurt, but Ava reminds him that Dante is a cop. Sonny admits that his son is better than him. Ava gives Sonny a get well card from Avery for Dante, and they talk about how much Dante and Avery love each other. Sonny tells Ava a story about Dante going to Avery’s school for career day, and hopes for more moments like that. Then Carly shows up and lays into Sonny for not attending the arraignment.
Sonny confesses that he was unable to attend due to Jason shooting his son. Despite Carly’s defense of Jason and her encouragement for Sonny to allow Jason to explain, Sonny remains resolute in his belief that he owes Jason nothing.
