General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Thursday, November 23, 2023:
What happened today on General Hospital: Thanksgiving kicks off in Port Charles. Valentin gently confronts Charlotte. Lois’ mother, Gloria arrives at the Quartermaines. Robert has a surprise for Anna.
GH Recap Today
Brook Lynn is searching for her purse and tells Chase that her mom has been bombarding her with text messages to come to Thanksgiving dinner at the Quartermaines. Brook Lynn notes that there is so much to be thankful for this year, especially with her landing a gig with Blaze, her dad being back to himself, and more.
Chase wonders if she is ready to move back to the Quartermaines, and she wonders if he wants her to move out. Chase says that’s not the case and he loves having her there. He thinks he might be more insecure about their relationship than he realized. She tells him that her place is there with him. She wants to celebrate that her dad is back to himself. She says the timing is so bad because now that she has good news about her father, he has bad news about his. Chase notes that now that he knows the time with his father is limited, they can make the most of it.
Ned tells Leo that he will never forget his time as Eddie, and he appreciates Leo being so understanding. Cody arrives, and Leo brings up how he has been modeling with his girlfriend Sasha.
Olivia tells Lois that there won’t be Thanksgiving dinner this year. She explains that although she loves Thanksgiving, it is always a disaster with the Quartermaines. Lois reminds her that Thanksgiving is about family and that this year’s celebration will be full of surprises. Lois insists that they cannot skip Thanksgiving this year.
Just then, Lois receives a text and says that their surprise has arrived, inviting Olivia to follow her. The surprise turns out to be Gloria, who announces that she is back and happy to be celebrating Thanksgiving with the Quartermaines. Lois is overjoyed, saying, “mission accomplished.”
Ned arrives and sees Gloria, and he is ecstatic. Gloria mentions that she took the bus to get there and loves taking it to see so many different people.

Brook Lynn and Chase arrive and question her mom why Thanksgiving is so important this year. She wonders if her mother is cooking up some scheme, but then is stunned to see her grandma Gloria, who is happy to see Brook Lynn’s hunky boyfriend, Chase. Lois and Gloria seem to have the food under control. Sasha arrives and Leo says, “Hey, Cody, it’s your girlfriend.” Later, Cody tries to explain to Sasha because he doesn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable, but she tells him that it’s all good. Meanwhile, Gloria ignores a call from Uncle Pete, and Lois is sure that nothing is going to go wrong this year. Later, everyone is waiting on the meal, but a loud alarm goes off.
Sasha leaves, and Cody notices. He tracks her down, and she apologizes. She says it is not about people assuming they are a couple, but it is a reminder that last year, this time, she was with Brando. Cody tells her that she is so strong. She feels disloyal when called a survivor because she feels she’s leaving Brando and Liam behind.

Sam meets with Alexis and Kristina as they gather together. She wonders if Molly will join them, but they note that Molly is going through a tough time after Andrea’s miscarriage. Alexis is thrilled to be with her girls. Molly, Jordan, and TJ arrive, and Alexis is grateful that they can celebrate Thanksgiving together every year. Despite the difficulties, Molly encourages them to focus on what they have rather than what they lack.
Kristina invites Blaze to join them for Thanksgiving and she agrees to come, bringing ice cream and flowers to thank Kristina for saving her from spending the holiday alone. While discussing work, Molly’s sisters notice that she may be using it as a coping mechanism and agree to support her. Sam expresses pride in Kristina and calls her a visionary. Later, Alexis thanks them all for coming to her house for Thanksgiving.
Charlotte returns home and Laura inquires about her well-being. Charlotte replies that she is doing fine and is happy to be back. She then leaves to see her room. Laura turns to Valentin and asks him what he plans to do now that Charlotte is back home. Valentin responds that he wants to support his daughter in any way he can. Laura suggests that they need to take action to break the hold that Victor has over her. She advises that it’s time to have a difficult conversation with Charlotte, who walks in and asks what is meant by that. Laura suggests Charlotte tell her father about Anna being dangerous. Charlotte notes Anna should be in jail for shooting her. Valentin then tells Charlotte that he knows what she has been up to. He says he knows what Victor told her, but he lied and has been manipulating her. Charlotte disagrees.
When asked, Charlotte is adamant that she did not set fire to Anna’s house and can’t understand why her father would think such a thing of her. She was only trying to scare Anna to save her father, she explains before storming off. Laura remains convinced that Victor was manipulating Charlotte and that he will not win before she leaves.

Robert pays a visit to Anna, who is in bed. As he pushes her to get out of bed, she says she is having a bad Thanksgiving. Robert tells her that she is not one to wallow and that he has something that will pull her out of her funk. However, Anna says she doesn’t want any more surprises in her life, but Robert thinks she will want this one. Anna shares that she cannot stop thinking about Charlotte and that she is a mess right now. Robert says that she does look pathetic and tells her to go get dressed. She agrees and says that when she comes back, she will kick him out. Robert tells her that he will take his chances. Anna returns well-dressed and asks how to get rid of him. There’s a knock on the door, and as Anna opens it, she is surprised and happy to see Emma. Anna tells her that she is blossoming into an amazing person. Emma asks about Charlotte and if they will be seeing her and Valentin today. Later, they enjoy a video call with her parents.
