General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Tuesday, November 28, 2023: Dante Gets Disturbing News

What happened today on General Hospital: Sam is concerned about Drew’s recent behavior. Molly and TJ have a disagreement. Alexis has a meeting with Laura. Dante gets some disturbing news. Elizabeth tries to reassure Finn.

Portia approaches Liz at the hospital and asks if she has seen Dr. Gatlin-Holt. Liz tells her that she hasn’t and Portia wonders where he is. She says that he’s been late before but never this late and asks Liz to keep trying to get in touch with him. Finn comes up to them and asks Portia to sign off on his treatment plan for his patient while he and Liz share a look. Finn and Portia look over the patient’s file and Portia igns off on his treatment plan. Liz says that it’s ridiculous that Finn has to do these things and Portia reminds her that both the hospital and Finn are being sued and this is protocol. Portia asked her to keep trying to reach Austin.

Liz goes to Finn‘s office and he vents to her about everything he has to do now because of the lawsuit. Liz has him do some breathing exercises and tells him she wants him to have a clear head so he hears her when she tells him that he did nothing wrong. Finn tells her that he keeps going over everything in his head to try to remember if he missed something. Liz tells him that doctors aren’t gods and neither are patients. She says that he did the best he could and that she’s going to continue to tell him that until he accepts it. 

The lawyer for the hospital shows up and Liz leaves them alone to talk. Finn tells the hospital attorney that he’s getting his own attorney. She tells him that that’s a good idea but says they still need to go over everything and apologizes in advance for her questions. She questions him about the patient and wants to know everything about the diagnosis Finn made. He tells her everything that happened step-by-step and tells her about the patient not coming back like Finn suggested he should. The hospital lawyer asks Finn if the patient’s symptoms could have indicated cancer and Finn tells her that he’s not going to answer any more questions without his lawyer

Sonny comes over to Sam and Dante‘s penthouse and he and Sam talk about their Thanksgivings. Sonny tells her that he’s going to host a giant feast for the family the following year. Dante comes in and tells Sonny that they’ll be there and asks why he stopped by. Sonny tells him there’s a matter of concern they need to speak about. Sam leaves with Scout to meet with Drew so Scout can interview him for a school report. 

After they’re gone, Dante asks Sonny what’s going on and Sonny tells him that he needs to speak to him about the man that tried to kill Ava. Dante tells Sonny he can’t talk to him about an open investigation. Sonny wants to know when Austin will be sent to prison because he doesn’t want him to get off easy. Dante tells him that they need Austin to tell them who his boss is and Sonny says that he doesn’t have to worry about that. 

Sonny tells Dante the things he’s found out about Cyrus and Austin and everything that happened with Mason and Betty. Dante calls Austin and a police officer from the Pawtuck PD answers the phone and tells him that Austin is dead. After Dante hangs up he tells Sonny what he just found out and asks if Sonny was behind it. Sonny tells him that he wasn’t. Dante believes him but says that now he has to figure out who killed Austin. Dante wants to know who Sonny suspects and Sonny tells him that he thinks it was Cyrus before he leaves. Sonny gets in his car and pulls out his phone. He calls someone and tells them to meet him at the MetroCourt right now because there’s something they need to know.

TJ sees Molly on the phone at the hospital and when she hangs up she tells him that she was able to reschedule her that afternoon and informs him that they have an appointment to find a new surrogate. Molly is eager to find a new surrogate and tells TJ that the other women they had interviewed have all already been matched with other families. TJ asks Molly why she made the decision without talking to him about it first. 

Molly really wants to start looking for a new surrogate but TJ says that they’re moving too fast. He says they were making plans for the baby that they lost and he can’t think about looking for another surrogate right now. Molly remembers the conversation with Alexis and TJ about their loss. Dr. Navarro comes over to talk to Molly and gives her condolences over the loss of their baby. She asks her if she and TJ are going to try again. Dr. Navarro hopes they try again and after speaking to Dr. Navarro, Molly goes to the PC Grille and meets a woman named Claire Brown.

Laura and Alexis meet at the PC Grille and Alexis apologizes for being late. They sit down and look at their menus while Cyrus watches them from across the room. Laura and Alexis talk about Esme and how she’s doing at work. Alexis tells her how great Esme is doing and Laura tells her that she’s going to cosign Esme‘s lease and wanted to make sure that she was going to still have her job for a while. 

Alexis says that she’s not in danger of being fired, but is worried about how Spencer is going to react to Esme moving out. Laura shares the same concerns but tells Alexis that Spencer is trying to accept Esme moving out but adds that he’s sad about it. They both think that he’s trying to accept it because of Trina and Laura thinks that Spencer having to put Ace’s needs first has made him more respectful of other people’s needs. 

Laura confides in her that Charlotte is the grandchild she’s worried about the most right now. She thanks Alexis for her discretion about Charlotte in the newspaper. Cyrus is eavesdropping on their conversation but drops what he’s carrying while listening to them. Cyrus gets in trouble for breaking the dishes, and he is told that he’s gonna have to pay for them out of his paycheck. Alexis is surprised that anybody would talk to Cyrus that way, and figures that they must not know who he is. Alexis is also surprised that the PC Grille gave Cyrus a job. She asks Laura if she thinks that Cyrus has really changed. Laura says Cyrus deserves a second chance, and she’ll trust him until he proves her wrong. As they leave, Cyrus watches them.

Drew is on the phone but hangs out when Scout comes in with Sam. Scout tells him that she has to record their interview and then asks him questions about Aurora. He tells her all about how he and Sam got and then ran the company. After she finishes her questions, Drew sends her to go get some drinks and ask Sam how he did. 

Sam tells him he was great, and when Scout gets back, Drew tells her he has big news for her. He tells Sam and Scout that he closed a deal with a man whose daughter goes to Westwood, a fancy private school, and there’s a spot open for Scout at the school. He tells Scout that it’s a really good school and they have an amazing swim team. Sam says that Kristina went there, but is surprised because she and Drew hadn’t discussed it. 

Drew says that somebody left so Scout could start right after Christmas break. Scout asks Drew if he wants her to go to the school and after he tells her that he does, Scout reluctantly agrees to go. Drew is very happy and leaves to go to the school to deal with getting Scout admitted. Sam tells Scout that she’ll drive her to the school so she can check it out but Scout tells her that she doesn’t really want to go to that school and they share a hug.

Since Austin hasn’t shown up, TJ is taking on some of his patients. Elizabeth tells Portia that she still hasn’t been able to reach Austin and offers to go to his apartment and check it out. Portia takes her up on the offer and then tells TJ that she might need him to stay late. TJ tells her that he can. Liz comes back later and tells Portia that Austin wasn’t at his apartment and there was food left outside that looked old. She wonders if they should call the police.

Dante walks into the PCPD and the desk sergeant tells him that there’s a detective from Pawtuck there to see him. Dante goes into the interrogation room and shakes hands with the detective who tells him that he’s hoping for interagency collaboration with the case involving Austin‘s murder.
