Sonny and Ric Confront Joss
On today’s October 13 episode of General Hospital, drama erupts right as the winner of the piers bid is announced. Hudson congratulates Josslyn right away. “Well done, boss,” he tells her.
Josslyn looks forward to owning the piers. As she walks out, Ric and Sonny interrupt to offer their congratulations.
“I’m sorry for your loss,” she tells Sonny. She immediately wonders out loud if that was an appropriate thing to say.
Sonny ignores the jab and says she made her point. He suggests that she hand the piers over to him now. He even offers to match her winning bid, but Joss refuses to budge. She is not giving the piers to him. Hudson stands by her side. However, Ric warns Hudson that he doesn’t know Port Charles or its players yet. Ric suggests it would benefit everyone to reach an agreement. Sonny then warns Joss not to let her pride get in the way.
“Josslyn, do the right thing,” Sonny suggests.
Joss warns him that JJE is going to build something productive with these piers. Sonny cannot stop her. “Bring it on,” she tells him as she and Hudson march out.
Sonny Goes Home, and Joss Goes Celebrating
After the confrontation, Sonny and Ric head back to Sonny’s house. Ric was positive they would win the bid. He thinks Hudson used an angle he did not anticipate. Sonny couldn’t care less about Hudson, though. He is far more worried about Josslyn coming after him. He knows she is not done yet. It hurts Sonny to admit that a little girl he helped raise now hates him. He feels he did everything he could to make peace. Yet, she still joined the WSB just to take him down.
Sonny highlights that he loves Joss. But if she thinks she is going to destroy him while he sits back and watches, “She’s dead wrong!”
To that end, Sonny suggests that Ric find out who this Hudson Parker is, because he may be the link to stop Joss once and for all.
Meanwhile, Joss and Hudson go back to their suite at the Metro Court. She tells him she could not have pulled this off without him.
“No small feat,” he says. He points out that she played a big part in the win. Hudson reveals that Sonny was the highest bidder. If they hadn’t stepped in, Sonny would have won. Thrilled that she got one over on Sonny, Joss decides it is time to celebrate.
They pop a bottle of champagne. Hudson is taking too long, so Joss takes it and does it herself. Of course, she makes a mess.
He cannot help but highlight that this is pretty expensive champagne. Joss says her father does not do cheap, and neither does she. She adds that she thought her father would love to be a part of this celebration. So, it’s her way of including him.
Carly Tries to Help Joss Through Valentin and Anna
Over in Carly’s office, she and Valentin talk about what went down. Valentin thinks Carly wanted to jump in and referee the situation. Carly admits she cannot directly help her daughter right now. However, she knows someone who can: Anna.
Carly reveals she asked Anna to stop by her office. She hopes Anna can use her years of WSB experience to mentor Joss. Valentin doesn’t think Anna is in the right headspace for that right now. Carly agrees. However, she adds that Anna could be with Valentin’s help.
She mentions her recent chat with Anna. Specifically, Anna’s psychiatrist thinks Anna needs someone from her past to help her see things clearly. That person must also know Faison. Anna hesitates to drag Valentin back into her past. Still, Carly believes he can help Anna. By extension, that helps Joss. Carly knows it would kill Valentin if he didn’t help.
Valentin agrees to talk to Anna. However, he will back off if that is what she asks him to do.
They also agree that Joss owning the piers can be very dangerous. Carly explains that this is the kind of fight her daughter was looking for. Valentin thinks he can somehow help Joss.
Trina and Gio Perform a Duet
Meanwhile, Ava attends Trina’s performance to support her. Ava checks in on her, and Trina explains that her mom had to work late. Because of that, her mom won’t be there. As for her dad, they came so close to losing him.
“You add my prayers to yours,” Ava tells her as she hugs her.
At the same time, Gio shares big news with Kai. He and Emma are moving in together. Kai points out that staying at Sonny’s house would have been hard on Trina, given what Sonny did to her dad. Emma joins them and catches up with Trina about the big move. Meanwhile, the guys chat nearby.
Later, Drew arrives and meets up with Ava. She is surprised he would show up after what he did to Trina’s father. Drew reminds her that the whole thing was her idea in the first place. However, he promises Trina won’t find out the truth from him.
Now that they have settled that, Ava thinks he can leave. Drew is not leaving. He didn’t come for the music. He finally has a way to deal with Lulu. His plan is to deny everything and claim Willow did not drug him. Taking Willow down gives a gift to Michael and the Quartermaines, and Drew refuses to do that. He also adds that validating the paralytic story puts a spotlight on Brennan. That is the last thing they want.
Trina Has a Big Fan
Fast forward to later. Gio and Trina take the stage to perform a song that they hope everyone will love.
After the performances, they all sing Trina’s praises. Emma brings along some flowers that were left in the back for Trina. The note says they are from her biggest fan. Trina thinks it is Kai, but he tells her he was not the one who did this.
Meanwhile, Drew tells Ava that while he did not win the piers, Joss did.
Liz Confronts Lulu Over Her Article
Over at Lulu’s, she tries to convince Dante that Sidwell is lying to him. She insists that what she printed was the truth. She just wishes her mom hadn’t gone to Ireland. Dante agrees. He wishes Laura were there to talk to Lulu herself.
Lulu does not think Sidwell was lying to her. However, she did not run her story on his word alone. She checked with medical professionals first. Lulu is not surprised that Sidwell is trying to retract what he said because she kept all the receipts.
Just then, there is a knock at the door. It is Liz. Liz notes that she read the piece in The Invader. She finds it provocative and asks Lulu why she interviewed her under false pretenses. Lulu tries to defend herself.
“How did you even get in to see Sidwell in the first place?” Liz asks.
Liz highlights that Lulu ignored direct orders and snuck into Sidwell’s room. Lulu cannot understand why Liz is not more outraged about what Willow did. If Willow is guilty of drugging her husband for months, Lulu asks, what else is she guilty of?
Liz warns Lulu to be careful. She points out that Lulu is accusing a congresswoman. However, Lulu thinks Willow and this mystery drug tie everything together. Dante begs to differ. He suggests that she retract her article.
“No way,” Lulu says.
In fact, she plans to do a follow-up. Just then, the doorbell goes off as Lulu is served. “Willow Tait is suing me for libel,” she reveals.
