Brook Lynn is Emotional

On today’s October 14 episode of General Hospital, Tracy is in the kitchen when Brook Lynn greets her.

“Granny,” Brook Lynn says.

She talks about Chase and his belief that she leaked the article. It breaks her heart that he thinks so little of her. Tracy adds that her lawyers will handle him. By the time they finish, her granddaughter will have full custody of Phoebe.

“I don’t know how much more of this I can take,” Brook Lynn confesses.

She explains that she isn’t ready to move on. Right now, she needs to grieve instead of strategizing. Just a week ago, she felt safe. She thought they were going to give Phoebe a real family. Now, she and Chase are fighting. Tracy apologizes and decides to head to bed. Before leaving, she reminds Brook Lynn that she loves her and hates seeing her go through this.

Ned Reminds Jason Who’s In Charge

Meanwhile, Ned is at home eating when Jason walks in and asks to talk. Ned suggests waiting, but Jason mentions a problem he already resolved. Ned is glad to hear it. He explains that domestic issues have kept him distracted lately. Still, he wants to know why this ELQ issue is just reaching his ears now.

“I am the head of ELQ; you’re answering to me now,” Ned reminds him.

Ned appreciates Jason stepping up to fix things in Alberta. However, he reminds him that a clear chain of command exists. Jason understands.

Jason Updates Tracy

Tracy enters coughing and mentions that Ned’s daughter is having a rough day in the kitchen. She notices Ned’s burger, but Ned claims it belongs to Jason. As Ned walks away, Tracy warns Jason not to take the fall. Her son shouldn’t be eating burgers anyway.

Jason then explains Michael’s sudden departure. Michael asked him to keep an eye on Wiley and Amelia. If Willow tries to run with the kids, Jason will stop her. Tracy wonders if Michael left him in charge of everything. Jason confirms he did. This leaves Tracy wondering if that includes Deception, too.

At the same time, Tracy begs Jason to take a more active role at ELQ. She wants him to take some of the pressure off Ned’s shoulders since her son had a heart attack a year ago. Jason agrees.

Ned Supports Brook Lynn

In the meantime, Ned goes to check on Brook Lynn. He reassures her that he is never too busy for his family. He hates seeing her so sad and wishes he could fix it. Brook Lynn brings up Tracy’s push to sue for full custody of Phoebe. Ned asks if that is what his daughter actually wants.

She admits she doesn’t know what she wants. However, Ned advises her not to leave Chase out of his daughter’s life.

Serena Shocks Lucy

Elsewhere, Serena warns her mom to play it cool when Michael arrives. Lucy is holding out for Deception to return to their hands. Serena’s phone rings, and Michael calls to cancel because something came up. Lucy isn’t happy about the sudden change. Serena tells her mom that Michael left Jason in charge while he’s away. Lucy claims Jason has an emotional range of 1.

“I don’t know about that,” Serena says. “Jason seemed tender when he checked me for ticks,” she adds, shocking her mom.

Serena explains what happened at the falcon’s nest, and Lucy loves the story. She thinks Serena can use Michael’s absence to their advantage. Since Serena and Jason connected, Lucy wants her to convince Jason to sign over Michael’s proxy. Serena doubts it will work. Still, Lucy plans to stage a fake crisis at Deception. Serena can step in to solve it, and “voila proxy is signed,” she says.

Michael and Jordan Head to Germany

Out of town and on a plane, Michael opens up to Jordan. He feels nervous about leaving the kids behind. Jordan admits she still doesn’t know how to make things right with him. He advises her to focus on what is in front of her. Once they reach the clinic, he will introduce her to the head surgeon. Michael recalls his own painful procedure and urges her to keep a strong attitude.

Jordan admits that part of her wanted to stay with Curtis at GH. However, another part felt relieved to escape. She talks about the heavy tension between her, Portia, and Curtis. Her presence only makes things harder, and she knows a confrontation with Portia is coming.

Jordan notes that she and Curtis stayed close while he was with Portia, which Portia hated. Michael wonders if that marriage was doomed from the start. Watching Brook Lynn and Chase has forced him to reflect on his own life. The more he thinks about it, his marriage to Willow was bound to fail because she never stopped pining for Chase.

“With all due respect, that’s a total cop out,” Jordan adds.

Britt Defends Willow

Over at the hospital, Tristan runs into Britt and is glad to catch her. He asks why she is sniffing around his patient, Jenz Sidwell. Britt claims she wanted to check if Sidwell was lucid enough for his interview with Lulu. In her medical opinion, he wasn’t. Tristan refuses to violate patient privacy, but he agrees with her assessment.

Later, Isaiah and Portia head out and mention seeing Tristan and Britt at the Brown Dog on Friday night. Britt looks puzzled and asks what they mean. They explain an invite went out via email. As they walk off, Tristan tells Britt to check her inbox.

“I was busy,” she says.

Nearby, Joe arrives and asks Lucas for help regarding Jack Brennan’s disappearance. Joe points to an article in The Invader and thinks Lucas knows more than he admits. Lucas refuses to build a case against Willow. Joe explains he only wants to know what happened to Brennan and if Willow was involved.

Britt steps in immediately. She makes it clear that her cousin had nothing to do with it and promises to fight anyone who says otherwise. She adds that Lulu merely reported the rants of a heavily medicated man. Spotting Tristan nearby, Britt asks him to back her up. She claims Sidwell was on high doses of pain medication, so his words meant nothing. However, Tristan speaks up and says that isn’t true.

Tristan agrees with Britt to an extent. He admits that whatever Sidwell said to Lulu could actually be true.

Isaiah and Marshall Shake Hands

Finally, Portia arrives and holds Dez. Marshall shares that he and Dez had a great day together. He is soaking in every moment with his grandson. Isaiah arrives with food, and Portia steps aside with the baby. This gives Isaiah and Marshall a moment to talk.

Isaiah assumes Marshall has reservations about him being around. Marshall clarifies that he just wants to protect Dez from any tension between Isaiah and Curtis. Isaiah acknowledges how tough the situation is, but Marshall begs to differ.

Marshall thinks his son should be the one singing to Dez, and Curtis should be the one getting spit up on. While it is clear to Marshall that Isaiah is a good man, he speaks plainly about the future. Unless Isaiah intends to replace Curtis as Dez’s dad, Marshall wants all of them to get along for the baby’s sake. Understanding where he is coming from, the two men shake hands on it.

Later, Britt confronts Tristan. He warns her that she needs to stay out of his way, adding that the next time she deals with him, it better be about an actual patient.

Meanwhile, Lucas warns Joe to be careful. He notes that he wouldn’t want the WSB looking his way.
