Chase Opens Up to Dante

In today’s October 28 recap of General Hospital, Britt cannot seem to get her wild night with Jude out of her mind. While lost in thought, she overhears Chase and Dante chatting nearby. Dante mentions that he heard what happened directly from Brook Lynn. However, Britt makes a quick exit as soon as she realizes that Chase and Brook Lynn went to the Dominican Republic to get a quickie divorce! Meanwhile, Chase notes that while he and Brook Lynn still love each other, their marriage simply did not work out.

Chase notes that because the trip was so painful, he and Brook Lynn took separate flights back to Port Charles. He admits he knew the marriage was over for good the moment he realized Brook Lynn’s family had convinced Lulu to write those lies about Willow.

While Dante wouldn’t put it past Tracy to push Lulu to publish the article, he knows Lulu well and notes she would never publish it if it wasn’t true. Chase, however, argues that Sidwell has every reason to lie. Dante admits they still don’t know if Sidwell made stuff up. He notes that the jury is still out on that. Chase then pointedly asks if Dante would really damn Willow—or anyone else for that matter—based strictly on Sidwell’s word.

Dante warns Chase to be careful, pointing out that if anything in the article is true, it proves Willow will do whatever it takes to get what she wants.

Brook Lynn is Ready for Deception

Over at the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn is solemnly looking down at her hand when Tracy walks in. Tracy gently warns her granddaughter that she should take some time to mourn the loss of her marriage. “I’ve mourned enough,” Brook Lynn insists. She promises that moving forward, she is going to focus entirely on rebuilding her own life.

Brook Lynn also apologizes for giving Lucy her stock at Deception. She admits that she took her eyes off the ball—a mistake she plans to fix. She remains determined to prove herself, even though Tracy assures her she has nothing to prove.

Britt Has Big News for Willow

Over at the gatehouse, Lucy pays Willow an unexpected visit. “I am just here to make all your dreams come true,” Lucy grandly claims. She announces that she found the perfect new house for Willow. However, Willow quickly shuts her down, stating she has no plans to move. Lucy insists that Willow will love the place.

She emphasizes that it sits on the opposite side of town away from the Quartermaines. Lucy assumes Willow must hate living in her former in-laws’ gatehouse, but Willow sets her straight. She makes it clear she loves her current living situation and has no interest in taking a home tour.

Seeing right through her, Willow suggests Lucy must be sticking close by because of Chase. Claiming she has so much work to get done, Willow politely shows Lucy the door.

Britt shows up to see Willow and immediately delivers a jaw-dropping bombshell based on what she overheard. “Chase is single,” she reveals!

Britt notes that Chase and Brook Lynn got a divorce. Excited by the news, Willow wants to call Chase immediately, but Britt quickly stops her.

Willow cannot understand this recent shift in her cousin’s behavior, but Britt quickly changes the subject, revealing that she may have just met a new man.

Lucy Has a Fit After Tracy’s News

Elsewhere on the estate grounds, Serena arrives and tells Jason that he is about to become a very happy man. Shortly after, Tracy steps outside, spots Serena, and immediately demands to know where her mother is.

Later, they head inside, where Serena presents them with a fresh look at some new packaging designs. However, their meeting is suddenly interrupted when Lucy arrives.

The meeting officially kicks off. Lucy tries to jump right into discussing the new packaging, but Tracy shuts her down. Tracy insists they can handle that later, right after they discuss bringing Deception under the ELQ umbrella.

“Absolutely not,” Lucy declares. She refuses to let them shut her out of her own company. However, Brook Lynn quickly fires back, reminding her that she was fully prepared to shut them out when she tried to trick Jason into signing over Maxie’s proxy.

Serena is stunned. Jason calmly explains that he only promised not to say anything if no one asked, but Tracy specifically did. Lucy worries that she and her daughter are being kicked out. Brook Lynn and Tracy reassure her that is not the case. They clarify that they are simply changing the terms of their business relationship.

A vote is called, and the majority goes Tracy’s way.

Later at the mansion, after the high-stakes meeting wraps up, the doorbell rings. Brook Lynn opens the door to find Jude standing on the porch, who casually announces that he is there to see his daughter.

Valentin and Carly Strategize

Meanwhile, Valentin and Carly meet up to discuss the fact that Ava was the last person seen with Brennan. Valentin warns that if the PCPD moves in on Lulu, they will need to act fast. Carly hesitates when her beau suggests coming forward with the information he has. Carly doesn’t want Valentin to incriminate himself, but she agrees they must figure out what happened to Jack before the WSB does. Valentin points out that they have a distinct advantage since they were both present at the Metro Court the night Jack vanished.

Valentin points out to Carly that the night Jack disappeared was the exact same night the Metro Court security system went out. He admits that all these mysterious details are heavily pointing toward one grim conclusion: Jack might actually be dead.

Valentin and Carly can’t understand why Ava would even want to kill Jack. Even if she did, they can’t figure out how she managed to get his body off the Metro Court grounds unnoticed. However, with the security cameras down that night, it would have been much easier to move him unseen. Valentin points out that if that is indeed what happened, Ava must have had help.

Carly proposes that the accomplice could already be in custody since Ava and Nina are besties. “Oh my God, they put him in a laundry cart,” Carly suddenly realizes as she and Valentin try to piece together how anyone could secretly move a body off the Metro Court grounds.

Alexis Agrees to be Ava’s Lawyer

At Davis & Miller, Ava corners Alexis to demand legal representation. Alexis tries to persuade her to hire another lawyer, but Ava reminds her that she owes her a major favor. Ava suggests they skip straight to the part where Alexis gives in and takes the case.

While Alexis offers to find her a top-notch referral, Ava insists it has to be Alexis because she is brilliant at what she does. Closing the office door, Ava gets serious: “Alexis, I really need to talk to you, and I really need it to be covered by attorney-client privilege.” Reluctantly, Alexis agrees. “Who did you kill this time?” Alexis asks as she officially takes Ava on as a client.

Ava reveals to Alexis that both the police and the WSB are looking at her as a suspect in Jack’s disappearance, simply because she had a drink with him the night he vanished. But Ava admits there is even more to the story. She confesses that she might possess critical evidence regarding Jack’s whereabouts, but she worries handing it over to authorities could prove detrimental to her freedom.

Ava Tells All

Ava goes on to explain that she is not the only one holding this explosive evidence—in fact, the other person who has it is Drew!

She comes clean and tells Alexis everything that happened, including the fact that Drew gave her pills to drug Brennan’s drink. Alexis warns Ava that if the WSB or the PCPD gets wind of this intel, the fallout could be disastrous for her. Ava asks if they can cut a deal. When Alexis asks what kind of deal she has in mind, Ava doesn’t hesitate: “The kind where I’m in the clear, and Drew takes the fall.”

Ava claims this arrangement would work in both of their favors because they would both finally be free of Drew. Alexis eyes her skeptically, wondering why Ava would ever choose to team up with someone like Drew in the first place. Ava explains that she was backed into a corner and desperately needed to find an ally to protect herself against Sonny.

Baines Gives Nina Surprising News

Finally, Nina confronts Agent Baines after the shocking news he dropped on her the previous night. “Are you ready to explain yourself?” she demands. Baines attempts to offer a peace offering by presenting her with breakfast. He explains that crucial new information has just come to light regarding Jack Brennan’s disappearance.

Baines announces that the new evidence must be fully substantiated before taking action. In the meantime, he informs Nina that she will be transferred to a holding site in Port Charles. Nina vehemently maintains her innocence, desperate to know what she needs to do so she can see her family again. Baines suggests that her best move is to tell him everything she knows.

Nina insists to Baines that she had nothing to do with Jack’s disappearance. She argues that Jack would never willingly vanish if he knew she would be blamed for it. She also admits her growing fear that he might actually be dead.

To her surprise, Baines tells Nina that he actually believes her.
