Jude is Phoebe’s Father
In today’s October 29 recap of General Hospital, Brook Lynn is stunned when Jude shows up at the Quartermaine mansion. He announces that he is there to see his daughter. Brook Lynn assumes he has the wrong house, but Jude quickly clarifies. “I’m Jude Jacks,” he says, explaining that Jasper is his cousin and Jerry Jacks is his father.
Brook Lynn assumes he is looking for Josslyn, but Jude sets the record straight. He is looking for his daughter. “I think that you named her Phoebe,” he adds.
However, Brook Lynn tells him he signed away his rights and demands that he leave. Just then, Tracy and Jason walk in. Jude introduces himself and insists he is there to see his child. Brook Lynn maintains that Phoebe is not his, but Jude disagrees. He explains that Delilah was pregnant with his baby and admits he was shocked to learn she died.
Still, Brook Lynn reminds him that they legally adopted Phoebe. However, Jude argues the adoption is not valid because he never surrendered his parental rights. He believes they can sort it out eventually, but for now, he just wants to see Phoebe. Jason steps in and tells Jude it is time to go. Jude agrees to leave, but promises he is not going away for good.
After he leaves, Brook Lynn begins to spiral. “This can’t be happening,” she panics.
Tracy promises Brook Lynn that they will handle the situation, who races off to check on Phoebe. Once she leaves, Jason offers a stark warning. He tells Tracy that this man is going to be a major problem if he really is Jerry Jacks’ son.
Chase Advises Willow
At the boathouse, Willow finishes a phone call just as Chase arrives. He hopes he is not interrupting. He explains that he found Wiley’s ball in the driveway and wanted to return it. Willow invites him inside.
Chase then drops a major update. He reveals she will not be seeing him around the estate anymore because he and Brook Lynn are divorced. Willow admits she heard the news and offers her sympathy.
Chase admits he feels responsible for Brook Lynn’s family targeting Willow. He thinks Lulu should simply print a retraction. Still, Chase urges Willow not to drop her lawsuit. He reminds her that Monet is a great lawyer, and begs her to trust the process because the truth will come out. Willow promises him she will not back down.
Chase reveals that he is currently staying at the Metro Court. He plans to stay there until he finds a more suitable place for his daughter.
Willow offers Chase her own advice. Just then, Brook Lynn shows up. She tells Chase that a strange man just showed up claiming to be Phoebe’s father.
Ric Reasons With Alexis
Over at the law office, Ric tries reasoning with Alexis. He thinks she should nip the lawsuit in the bud. Alexis disagrees, noting Willow will not drop the suit no matter what they do. She points out that Ric only seems nervous because he knows Monet can actually win the case.
Alexis advises that if he wants the case to go away, he should tell his client to print a retraction. She points out that doing so might actually salvage her career. After all, if she is found guilty of libel, no editor will ever hire her again.
Ric is sure of one thing: Lulu is not going to back down.
Dante Helps Liz Bake
Meanwhile, Liz tells Dante she is glad he came over to help bake Halloween cupcakes. Dante is happy to help out. Liz realizes she forgot to buy liners, but Dante luckily brought some along.
As they put the first set of cupcakes in the oven, Dante notes that Aiden would be proud. Liz admits she misses her son already. She suddenly realizes that she is running out of time before her 4:00 p.m. delivery deadline at the community center. Dante is surprised to see her losing her cool over cupcakes when she manages a packed ER every day.
Liz confesses she has not baked in years. It is finally dawning on her that Aiden is moving to Paris and will no longer be living at home. Dante reassures her, reminding her that she did a wonderful job raising her sons.
Valentin Attends Anna’s Session
At the hospital, Valentin meets with Dr. Nichols and Anna for her therapy session. They hope his memories from his time with the WSB will be helpful. Dr. Nichols assures Anna they can stop if she feels unsafe, but Anna insists the only way out is through. “I’m ready to come to terms with my past,” Anna states.
Dr. Nichols begins the session by asking Valentin about the first time he met Anna. He remembers it vividly. Val recalls how beautiful she was. He also remembers how Anna got involved with Faison, noting she went to him of her own free will rather than on an assignment.
Anna remembers it, too. She admits she was arrogant and ambitious back then. She believed she could turn a painful moment from her past into an advantage. Anna recalls exploiting Valentin’s feelings for her to get his help. Knowing he had a crush on him, she was not shocked when he kissed her. She knew how he felt and used it against him.
Anna blames herself. She feels she should have seen Faison’s madness much sooner. Valentin steps in. He urges her not to carry that burden. He reminds her that none of it was her fault.
Dr. Nichols interjects. She instructs Anna to say those exact words out loud.
“It wasn’t my fault,” Anna repeats over and over again.
Joe Questions Carly
Elsewhere, Detective Fitzpatrick meets with Carly on an official police matter. Joe explains he has questions regarding the disappearance of Jack Brennan. They discuss the security system failure at the Metro Court. Carly explains she was at the hotel and called the security company, but they were unavailable, so she called Jason.
When they realized what was happening, they checked Jack’s room, but he was gone. Carly notes that as a WSB agent, Jack had the skills to hack her system himself.
Joe then asks about her personal relationship with Jack. Carly admits they were involved until she found out he recruited her daughter into the WSB. Annoyed by the questioning, Carly tells Joe to contact her lawyer if he has more questions.
After Joe leaves, Carly immediately makes a private call. She demands that the person on the other end send her the CCTV footage from August 31st right up until the second the system crashed.
As she goes over the footage, her eyes widen in shock. “Oh my God,” she gasps.
Later, Carly makes a phone call. She reaches out to Valentin. She tells him they have a major problem. Carly reveals that the last time anyone saw Jack, Charlotte and Danny were at the hotel that night.
