General Hospital Recap October 2: Valentin Makes A Desperate Call for Help

Martin is impressed as he arrives at Valentin’s new home. Valentin asks him over so they can talk about something important, but he is worried about attorney-client privilege. Martin asks what it is about, and Valentin reveals that he suspects Charlotte of breaking into Anna’s room and setting fire to her house. Martin is hesitant to believe that Charlotte would do such a thing, but Valentin is convinced after seeing her on the surveillance footage. He is worried that if Charlotte is found guilty, she will face a severe sentence. Martin expresses his concerns, but Valentin insists that they need to protect Charlotte from herself. He reveals that Nina is the only other person who knows, but they got rid of the evidence. Valentin asks Martin to be prepared to defend Charlotte in case of an arson charge.

Laura is determined to find her son Nikolas, but Kevin reminds her that he may not want to be found. Kevin suggests that Nikolas needs to prioritize his children before anything else. Despite Kevin’s concerns, Laura remains steadfast in her search and plans to look for Nikolas in London. Kevin helps her by getting them tickets to London. Laura expresses her gratitude for Kevin’s support and love, and even calls Jordan to check on Port Charles while she’s away. Meanwhile, Valentin contacts Laura and reveals that he thinks Charlotte is in trouble. Laura promises to return to Port Charles as soon as possible.

Anna receives a call from Sonny, who’s checking in on the security team he arranged for her. Anna is impressed with their performance and Sonny reassures her that she can contact him if she needs any assistance. Just then, Jordan arrives and inquires about the conversation. Anna shares that she noticed a man and asks about his identity. It turns out that he’s her personal bodyguard and is employed by Sonny. Jordan acknowledges the importance of this arrangement. Jordan tries to find out what’s going on and Anna tells her someone is trying to dismantle her life and drive her insane. Anna points out how the attacks are two different psychological profiles with two distinct and conflicting motives. She may not know who burned down her house and vandalized her hotel room, but whoever they are, they know what they are doing. Anna admits she doesn’t know what kind of secrets Valentine is keeping but thinks it’s past time she finds out what those secrets are. As Valentin finishes his call, Anna arrives.

Janice and Dr. Montague discuss Sasha, with the nurse expressing his belief that she is truly delusional. He informs Janice that he will no longer be caring for Sasha or working at Ferncliff. Janice says he will be missed, but he assures her they will see each other around town. Later, Dr. Montague contacts Janice and asks her to check a file for him. She leaves her station to do so. Meanwhile, Dr. Montague heads to Sasha’s room.

In Ferncliff, Sasha receives instructions from a nurse and has a terrifying dream about Dr. Montague. The nurse offers Sasha some pills, but she is hesitant to take them. A nurse advised that to leave Ferncliff, one must comply with the rules. Sasha shares her experience of attempting to follow the rules, which nearly resulted in her demise. Despite this, Sasha remains optimistic and determined. Suddenly, Montague enters the room with a syringe, causing Sasha to object. Sasha resists and struggles as Montague tries to inject her. However, someone bursts into the room and interrupts the situation.

As Gladys is preparing to leave town, she receives a call and hears a knock on the door. To her surprise, Sam picks the lock and enters. Gladys is taken aback and asks Sam why she is there. Sam is concerned about Gladys leaving town when Sasha, her daughter-in-law, is ill. Sam reminds her that it is Sasha’s home and questions how Brando would feel about it. Sam refuses to let Gladys leave until she exonerates Sasha. Gladys is emotional and cries, explaining that she not only feels for Sasha, but also for herself, having lost a son and grandchild. When Gladys demands that Sam leaves, Sonny appears at the door. Gladys is flustered, but Sonny asks her what’s wrong.

Gladys informs him that Sam picked her lock. However, Sam denies it and claims that she knocked but got no answer. Sam accuses Gladys of hurting Sasha and Gladys retaliates by accusing Sam of having an affair with Cody Bell and betraying Dante. Sonny questions Sam about her involvement in hurting Sasha, but she denies everything Gladys has said. Gladys tries to deceive Sonny, but he is not fooled and expresses his anger towards her for what happened to Sasha. He notices Gladys’ suitcase and inquires about her vacation plans. Gladys explains that she needs a break from the turmoil and chaos around Sasha. However, Sonny is aware that Gladys stole from Sasha and questions how she plans to pay for the trip. He warns her that he will not tolerate her lies and will take action to prevent her from lying again.
