Ric Advises Brook Lynn
On today’s October 22 episode of General Hospital, Brook Lynn and Ric meet to discuss her case. Ric believes they have a pretty airtight case, but Brook Lynn reminds him why she hired him in the first place.
She wants him to abide by her terms. “Screw the prenup. I want it thrown out,” she demands. Ric tries to talk her out of taking that route, but Brook Lynn stands her ground. “If 50/50 is where you want to be, then you’re going to have to ask for a lot more,” Ric advises.
He warns her that doing so means applying for full custody. Brook Lynn refuses. She insists that she does not want to attack Chase. She notes that they still love each other. However, Ric cautions her that no matter what happens in the room, she needs to stay quiet and let him do the talking.
Monet Advises Chase
Meanwhile, over at Miller & Davis, Monet tells Chase he also needs to remain quiet and let her speak. Chase warns her that he does not want a messy fight. Monet asks if that means he is willing to lose custody of his daughter.
Chase assures her that he and Brook Lynn both want shared custody of Phoebe. Still, Monet warns him that they must prepare for the worst-case scenario.
“And if Brook Lynn’s lawyer is anything like me, he’s telling her the exact same thing,” she cautions. She tells him he will need to find a new lawyer if he wants her to fight with her hands tied behind her back. “Fine, handle it your way,” he relents.
Just then, Ric and Brook Lynn arrive.
Chase is surprised to learn that Brook Lynn hired Ric as her attorney. He is worried because Ric is a ruthless shark, and he realizes this battle has just reached the next level. While speaking outside with Monet, she warns him that this finally proves just how serious these negotiations are going to be.
Later, Ric and Monet go toe-to-toe as they negotiate fiercely on behalf of their clients. All the while, Brook Lynn and Chase simply sit in silence and stare at each other.
Ric goes on and on about Chase being unable to care for Phoebe, but Brook Lynn suddenly interrupts him. “That’s enough!” she says. “I’m not going to do this,” she announces.
Michael and Jordan Await News
Over in Germany, Jordan feels anxious while waiting for news. She expresses her worries, but Michael assures her they will know soon enough whether she is cleared for treatment.
They start discussing dinner, and Michael notes how much he enjoyed their meal the night before. Jordan agrees. She tells him he does not need to distract her. Jordan admits that she is doing okay largely because of his support.
Michael adds that since he had not explored Baden yet, he definitely wanted to look around. He tells her that if Dr. Miller cannot help her, he will be right there for her to blame. Jordan insists he cannot blame himself. He did not brainwash her into coming, and she wanted this opportunity more than anything. Besides, she points out that she is a big girl who can handle whatever comes next.
Later, after meeting with the doctor, Jordan returns and shares the big news with Michael. “I’m in,” she announces with a smile.
Jordan notes that her surgery begins in the morning. She suggests that Michael should return to Port Charles, but he refuses to leave her side. Instead, he promises he is sticking around and staying right there with her.
Molly Tells Cody Her Big News
Back in Port Charles at the Quartermaine stables, Cody notices something has been bothering Molly. When he asks about it, Molly announces that she received a really good job offer.
“That’s great!” Cody says before she drops the bombshell that the position is in Chicago. Cody is surprised, and Molly explains that the new job comes with a substantial pay increase. “When do you start?” Cody asks, noting that it sounds like an exciting, dream opportunity.
Molly points out that Kristina just left town and she cannot do this to her mom. She tries to find every excuse to stay, but Cody warns her to stop using the people who care about her as an excuse.
“Then what about you?” she asks. “What makes you think you would be leaving me behind?” he counters. She is surprised that he would be willing to move to Chicago with her, especially since he loves his job at the stables. Still, Cody notes that he has lived in plenty of places and worked many jobs, so he can easily find work in Chicago. “I’m ready to move if you are,” he tells her.
At the end of the day, Cody tells her that this decision is entirely up to her.
Ultimately, Molly decides to stay in Port Charles.
Emma is Investigating for Trina
At the gallery, Trina races inside. Ava wonders if someone is tracking her, but Trina says no. She then reveals that she was lured to a location by a man she barely knew the night before. She explains that Quinn was working on Kai’s behalf to set up a romantic surprise.
While she was mad at first, Kai promised he would never do anything like that again. Ava leaves to attend to business. Shortly after, Trina looks at a photo on her phone showing the gift she received from her “biggest fan.”
Emma arrives and jokes, “Excuse me, miss, I would like to buy some art.” Trina asks what brings her by, and Emma reveals she brought information about the mystery person sending her flowers. So far, she discovered both bouquets were sent by someone named Alan Smith. However, because there are so many people online with that name, there is no way to narrow it down just yet.
Trina adds that the mystery sender could easily be using a fake name. Emma suggests that if they want real answers, they could turn to someone with more advanced tech skills for help. However, Trina points out that it was just a simple delivery of flowers. She notes that sending a bouquet is hardly a crime.
Later, while they are going over glowing reviews and raves about Trina and Gio’s music, they stumble upon a website filled entirely with photos of Trina.
Trina realizes the site says the exact same thing that was written on the note with the flowers.
Britt Gives Lucas the Tea
Finally, at the hospital, Britt finds Lucas hooked up to an IV machine and asks what happened to him. “You did,” he replies. Lucas explains that they had to relocate the staff party to his place because she was in full “Britch” mode the night before.
Even though he is off duty today, he needed an IV drip for electrolytes and vitamins to recover. Britt admits she was completely over the top and apologizes. She mentions that she brought apology donuts to the break room.
Lucas accepts and apologizes as well. He acknowledges how hard the night must have been for her after Jason showed up. Britt admits it was tough and agrees she did not hide it very well.
However, she shares that her night actually turned around. She reveals that not everyone found her off-putting. Lucas realizes she got laid. Britt holds up four fingers. “Four times!?” Lucas asks in shock. He demands all the details. Britt reveals that the guy is Australian and was able to afford a suite at the Metro Court.
Although she insisted on anonymous sex, she admits he had a great accent, great hair, and incredible stamina.
Lucas loves Britt’s new attitude. He bows down to her guardian sex angel in admiration. “Now we have to find one for you,” she tells him with a smile.
Joe Puts Ava on the Spot
Ava meets with Joe. She is happy to be talking with him, especially since he is living with her nephew. Joe is glad to be catching up as well, noting that he wanted to ask her about a case he is currently working on. He explains that two different witnesses claim they saw her with Jack Brennan right before he disappeared, and he wants to ask her about it.
However, Ava claims that when she remembers what went on between her and Brennan, she will tell him.
