General Hospital recap for Wednesday, September 23, 2026, features Chase meeting with a new attorney named Monet. Meanwhile, Tracy hands down some advice to her granddaughter, Ric and Sonny strategize, Ava questions Willow, and more.

Portia Visits Pentonville with Dez
On today’s episode of General Hospital, Portia shows up at Pentonville with Dex to see Curtis. Curtis is over the moon to see them. Portia tells him that she doesn’t want their son to spend any more time apart from him than he absolutely has to.
Curtis mentions that Brook Lynn was the other driver in the crash. Portia is glad he finally knows the truth. She hopes this revelation brings him some peace and lets go of the anger. She assures him that when he finally gets out, they can all be a family again, which is all she wants.
Later, an inmate warns Curtis to find a reason not to be in his cell after lunch.
Drew Tells Kai He Knows the Truth
At the gym, Drew walks in and spots Kai. Sensing a shift, he can’t help but feel Kai is actively avoiding him.
“That’s because I am,” Kai admits.
He reveals that both he and Willow are toxic, and he wants no part of the situation anymore. Drew then drops a bombshell: he knows Kai knows Willow shot him, and he watched her play nurse to him day in and day out. Drew explains that he has known the truth for a while. However, one detail still bothers him—he can’t figure out why an upstanding guy like Kai didn’t go to the police.
Drew notes that the papers incriminating Trina’s mother mysteriously disappeared from his safe. On top of that, he can’t believe Kai stayed on Willow’s paycheck the entire time he was in the wheelchair. Drew suspects Kai did it because he wanted to go above and beyond to make sure he was okay. Recognizing that loyalty, Drew makes him an offer: he wants Kai to come work for him.
Kai is hesitant. Drew promises to take the call whenever he decides.
“Don’t hold your breath,” Kai warns.
Trina Makes a Big Decision
Meanwhile, Gio tells Trina that Simon has been blowing up his phone. She feels terrible that he has to deal with the constant harassment. Gio tries to brush it off, but he acknowledges they can’t ignore Simon forever. Trina disagrees, noting that she certainly can—in fact, she already blocked him.
She adds that Simon is a painful reminder of Brook Lynn and what she did to her dad and Curtis. Because of that, she wants to purge every trace of Brook Lynn from her life.
Gio nervously asks if that includes him, but Trina reassures him that he has nothing to worry about. Still, she explains that while she loves performing, she can’t bring herself to do it with his mom involved. It kills her to admit it, but she feels she has to quit. She suggests that Simon take on Gio as a solo act instead.
“If you’re out, I’m out,” Gio insists, knowing Simon only wants them as a package deal.
Tracy Supports Brook Lynn
Over at the Quartermaine Estate, Brook Lynn is an emotional wreck. She breaks down to Tracy, admitting she still can’t believe Chase walked out on her. Tracy thinks the separation is for the best, but Brook Lynn begs to differ. She hopes that he loves her enough to come back.
Tracy promises that if Chase goes through with a formal separation, she will make sure Brook Lynn has the absolute best legal representation. When Brook Lynn starts blaming herself again for the accident and what happened to Isaiah, Tracy shuts it down immediately. Suddenly, Brook Lynn gets a notification on her phone from Simon and excuses herself to deal with it.
Tracy meets with Yuri to question him about Chase. She wants to know if he has gone to see Willow. However, Yuri notes he hasn’t. He explains that Chase only came by for his things and only met with his wife.
Tracy also notes that all she cares about is that her granddaughter does not lose custody of Phoebe.
Chase meets with Monet
Across town, Chase arrives at the Metro Court Gardens to meet his new attorney.
“Ms. Mitchell, I’m Harrison Chase,” he says.
She quickly asks him to call her Monet. Monet explains that she is fully briefed on his situation and promises to get him everything he deserves—and more—when his marriage ends. She assures him she is well-equipped to go to bat for him in court.
However, Chase admits he isn’t sure he actually wants a divorce. he points out that he and his wife still love each other.
“If you’re not sure you’re getting a divorce, why did you hire me?” Monet asks.
Chase explains that while he might be confused about his marriage, he knows he can’t lose his daughter. He asks Monet what steps he should take next, and she lays out his options. Chase warns her that the Quartermaines are extremely powerful and always get their way. Unfazed, Monet replies that she is the exact same way.
Monet advises Chase to move back into the Quartermaine mansion as soon as possible. She explains that it will look much better to the court if he is physically in the same place as his daughter. Chase agrees to call his wife and let her know he is moving back in. However, he warns that Tracy might give him some pushback. Monet reminds him of his rights.
“I will make sure you exercise them. Politely, or otherwise,” she declares.
Ava Has Intel for Willow
Meanwhile, Ava is lost in thought about Drew when Willow arrives. Ava admits she can’t stop thinking about Nina being stuck in Steinmauer. Willow agrees and says she is ready to figure out a way to get her out. Ava wonders how they could possibly manage that.
“By finding Jack Brennan,” Willow points out.
Ava thinks it’s smarter to focus on Nina’s current living conditions first, reminding her that Steinmauer is meant for hardened criminals and could break Nina completely. She then asks if the WSB told Willow anything specific about what they have on her mother.
Willow reveals that the agency only has a public argument her mom had with Brennan, along with a wallet that someone planted in her car. She is convinced Nina is being set up, adding that if she can prove the frame-job to the WSB, they will have to release her.
“If Nina is being framed, I may know by whom,” Ava reveals.
She claims Carly witnessed the fight between Brennan and Nina, and that Carly was the one who pointed Agent Baines in Nina’s direction.
After assuring Willow that they are on the same team, Willow takes her leave. Right after she exits, Ava receives a call from Avery’s school. She promises to take care of whatever issue has come up.
Sonny and Ric Strategize
Finally, at Sonny’s place, he and Ric review some paperwork. Ric reminds him that his competitor will do whatever it takes to win.
“Sonny, there is only one, and if Drew wants to take his shot, let him try,” Sonny says.
Ric warns him that Drew has been making powerful allies and clearly views acquiring these assets as personal. Sonny shrugs it off, reminding Ric that he has dealt with far worse threats than Drew Cain. Ric counters that those past threats happened when his brother was still involved in mob dealings, which isn’t the case anymore. Sonny explains that he promised Laura he wouldn’t lay a hand on Drew.
Sonny Recruits Vito to Send a Message to Sidwell
Just then, the doorbell rings. Sonny steps away to answer it.
It turns out to be Vito at the door. After Sonny takes care of business, he explains to Ric that he asked Vito to send a message to a prisoner at Pentonville.
Trina Decides Not to Quit
Meanwhile, Brook Lynn shows up to see Gio and Trina. She brings up Simon, but Gio reveals they are not continuing their contract. Brook Lynn warns that walking away would be a terrible mistake. However, Trina shuts her down immediately, telling Brook Lynn that she has no say in what they do—not now, and not ever.
Brook Lynn begs them not to quit. She reveals that if they do, that would be just another thing she takes from Trina. Trina agrees. She promises not to quit after all. They will keep working with Simon, but Brook Lynn will have no part of it.
Meanwhile, Monet shows up at the Q’s. She tells Tracy that she is representing Chase and he will be moving back in.
Over at the gym, Willow runs into Chase and Drew takes note of their encounter. Additionally, Ava shows up at Sonny’s. She warns him that this is the last time he will ever go behind her back about anything to do with their daughter.
