Drama at the Hospital
On today’s episode of General Hospital, at GH, Liz warns Dante that he cannot be sure Sonny was behind the attack. It is a prison, after all, and Sidwell has plenty of enemies. Dante agrees, but he admits he would not be doing his job if he ignored the possibility. He reveals that what happened to Michael—him getting burned—was also Sidwell’s doing, and he doubts his dad would let that go.
Soon, Ric arrives and spots Joe and Justine talking. He then greets Dante and Liz. Ric wanted to invite Liz to dinner, but after taking in the scene, he notes it does not look like the night for it. Dante leaves them to talk, and Liz fills Ric in on the attack on Sidwell and Curtis.
Justine Thinks Sonny May Be Innocent
Still at the hospital, Joe and Justine question Curtis. She asks if he is certain Sonny was responsible. Curtis explains that he explicitly remembers one of the attackers naming Sonny. He recalls returning to his cell, trying to stop the men from beating Sidwell, and being attacked himself before one of the men mentioned it was on Sonny’s orders. Joe wants to get an arrest warrant for Sonny, but Justine tells him to hold off. She reminds him this would not be the first time Curtis’s account was off, so they need to wait until they are completely sure.
Later, Justine cannot help but remember Sonny promising that if something happened to Sidwell, it would not be his fault. Dante arrives with an update: doctors are operating on Sidwell, but they are not sure he will make it. Justine reveals that Curtis named Sonny as the culprit, though she argues Curtis might just be drawing conclusions based on what he assumes rather than what is factual. Dante wonders out loud if Justine is just desperate for Sonny to be innocent.
Sonny Faces the Heat
Meanwhile, Rocco visits Sonny and asks if there is any way he and Drew can make peace. Sonny wonders if Drew is causing trouble for his grandson. Rocco notes that is not exactly the case, but he is still worried. Sonny warns that his situation with Drew is bad and is not going to get any better.
Later, Ric rushes in and tells his brother they need to talk, prompting Rocco to leave. Sonny wonders what is going on. Ric asks what he sent Vito to Pentonville to do, revealing that Sidwell and Curtis were beaten within an inch of their lives and transferred to GH. Sonny claims he is innocent.
Suddenly, a knock at the door reveals Joe, who has some questions about the Pentonville attack. Ric interjects, saying they are sorry to hear about it, but it has nothing to do with his client. Joe shuts that down, explaining that it does—because Curtis stated Sonny sent the assailants.
After Joe leaves, Sonny explains to Ric that he sent Vito with a message to Sully. He wanted his men to keep an eye on Sidwell and intervene if anyone made a move on him. Sonny knows people would automatically blame him, so he wouldn’t actually order the hit.
Ric points out that this could have been done on purpose—maybe Sully went against Sonny’s wishes intentionally.
Monet’s Surprise Visit
An officer opens the cell door and tells Curtis his lawyer is here. Curtis thinks it is too soon, as he has not even had a chance to call him yet. However, Monet walks in instead of Martin. Curtis points out that she is not Martin.
“Certainly not,” she says with a smirk.
She brings up his case, explaining that since she works at Miller & Davis, she has access to case files and has been reviewing a few—his in particular.
She suggests an appeal, but Curtis is hesitant. He points out that he does not know her and cannot understand why she is taking such an interest in his case.
Liz interrupts and apologizes for the intrusion. Monet understands and takes her leave.
Liz tells Curtis she didn’t know they had a new lawyer.
“Neither did I,” Curtis says.
Family Ties and Tough Choices
Over at the Quartermaine boathouse, Jason meets with Danny. Having heard that Charlotte left town, Jason asks if he is okay. Danny opens up and explains that Charlotte was only trying to help him. After Danny details what happened, Jason asks why he tried to take Tracy’s car. Danny explains he was only thinking about saving Charlotte before it was too late.
Jason notes that both Danny and Charlotte have taken a lot of risks lately. Danny makes it clear there have been plenty of times when they were the only ones they could count on. Jason understands, says he is sorry, and suggests it might not be a bad thing for Danny and Charlotte to spend some time apart. Danny begs to differ.
Britt Stops by Lucas
Elsewhere, Carly and Lucas bicker about her relationship with Valentin. Lucas asks if his sister is in love with him. Just before she can answer, someone knocks on the door. It’s Britt.
Carly opens it, and Britt declares, “Just when I thought my day couldn’t get worse.”
Carly decides it is time to leave. “I’ve been saved by the Britt,” she says as she heads out.
Lucas wonders if this is going to be their relationship now—Britt stopping by whenever she wants with cheap booze. He asks what they are even going to talk about tonight and mentions her breakup with Jason. Britt clarifies that she was the one who broke up with him.
Britt admits that being with Jason taught her a number of things. She thinks love just isn’t for her, and she isn’t falling for it again. A hookup, maybe—but definitely not love.
Later, Jason meets with Carly and updates her on his talk with Danny. He explains that he warned their son not to help Charlotte if and when she calls asking to be broken out of boarding school. Jason hopes Danny will listen. He can’t help but think Danny and Charlotte reminds him much of him and Carly.
Michael Reassures Jordan
At Aurora, Michael looks over some papers. He thinks the work is solid, but he notices Jordan seems a million miles away.
“I was just distracted,” she explains.
Jordan cannot stop thinking about what her sister said regarding her scars. They discuss a deal that needs closing, and Michael suggests Jordan go in person. Jordan thinks he should go instead, but Michael reminds her that she is the one who made the deal happen. Jordan admits she is afraid she will be too self-conscious during a face-to-face meeting.
Michael tries to reassure her that most people would not even notice what she is struggling with, but Jordan notes her sister is not most people—and five minutes with her completely changed her perspective.
Jordan gets a call. It’s Liz.
“What!?” Jordan says.
Jordan gets to the hospital. She speaks with Curtis, who informs her that this was Sonny’s doing because he was going after Sidwell.
Later, Rocco meets with Danny. He heard what happened and says he is sorry about it. Danny insists he needs to fix this—and tells Rocco he should get his mother to reverse her decision to bring Charlotte home.
They argue about who is responsible. Rocco points out that this is all Danny’s fault.
Joe returns to the hospital and updates Justine and Dante on his visit to Sonny’s. They go over some footage, and Dante realizes that the two men meeting are men who work for his father.
