Ava Updates Drew
On today’s episode of General Hospital, Ava drops in on Drew, hoping to catch him alone. She notes that Scout is currently with her tutor.
“Now get out of those clothes,” she tells him. She demands that he check his entire body for ticks.
Ava reveals she found one on herself after they buried Brennan’s body. Drew insists he doesn’t have any ticks. Still, Ava refuses to leave until he double-checks. A few moments later, he confirms he’s clean. Before heading out, Ava reminds him that if she goes down, he’s going right along with her. Drew counters with a warning. If Brennan’s body is ever discovered and the PCPD comes looking for a suspect, he’ll make sure the heat stays off her.
Charlotte Thinks Scout is Lying
At the stables, Danny tells Scout he’s helping Cody out. Scout apologizes to him. She warns that things between him and her dad are about to get a lot worse. Scout admits she got caught in a lie about her whereabouts on Labor Day. She told Drew she was with Danny.
Danny is furious that she threw him under the bus. Scout claims she was actually at a PCU party. When Charlotte walks up, she’s visibly stunned. Scout begs Danny not to hate her. She explains that her dad would have lost it if he knew she was at a college party. Danny promises he could never hate her, and Scout takes off.
Once she’s gone, Charlotte turns to Danny and calls total bluff. Scout definitely wasn’t at that party.
“She was with a guy,” Charlotte says.
She adds that Scout was babbling, which isn’t like her at all. That makes it obvious to her. Charlotte is convinced this mystery guy is the real thing, and it’s only a matter of time before Scout sneaks out to see him again. And it would also be only a matter of time before Drew figures out his daughter is lying. They start talking about their plan, and Charlotte notes that Drew needs to be caught with someone he shouldn’t. “Someone like me,” she claims.
Meanwhile, Scout arrives home. Drew is thrilled to see her and offers to help with her schoolwork. She points out that he hasn’t helped her with homework in forever. However, he smiles and says there’s nothing he’d rather do.
Valentin Supports Anna
At Anna’s place, Carly interrupts her conversation with Valentin and quickly apologizes. She had no idea Valentin would be there. She was just stopping by to check on Anna, and Anna appreciates it. After Carly leaves, Anna urges Valentin to go after her, but he refuses.
Anna points out that Felicia is already on her way over. He doesn’t have to stick around or hold her hand through this. After all, it’s her journey to take. Anna agrees to let him stay until Felicia arrives on one condition. When he finds Carly, he must tell her he’s officially done looking after Anna.
Felicia arrives shortly after and asks if everything is alright. She wonders if Valentin was the reason Anna needed backup. Once Valentin walks out, Anna opens up to Felicia. She admits that Valentin knows the worst of her, and having him there tonight was exactly what she needed.
Anna notes that she will always love Valentin, but he’s with Carly now.
Carly Challenges Valentin
Back at home, Carly pours herself a drink. Just as she’s about to take a sip, she pauses and thinks back to her dinner with Valentin. Right then, Valentin walks through the door. Carly admits she didn’t expect to see him again tonight, assuming he’d stay with Anna. Valentin doesn’t want her to get the wrong idea.
Carly tells him she completely understands what Anna is going through. He offers to fill her in on Anna’s situation, but Carly stops him. She warns him that Anna deserves her privacy. She appreciates him keeping her in the loop, but as long as Anna has his support, that’s what counts. Valentin calls Carly a kind soul for caring, though the whole ordeal leaves her worrying even more about Joss.
Tracy Seeks Sonny’s Help
Over at the Metro Court gardens, Nina runs into Sonny. She mentions she was just leaving a message for his brother. She’s seeking a lawyer because of Carly. Jack is missing, and the WSB is treating Nina as a suspect. She thinks it’s because Carly saw her lashing out at Brennan right before he went MIA. Nina adds that she’s also scheduled to meet with Ava. When Sonny turns to leave, Nina wonders why. She assumed they were on better terms these days. Sonny reveals he’s actually there for a date. Right on cue, Tracy walks in.
Sonny heads over to their table. Tracy opens up about the ongoing drama with Brook Lynn. She notes that Gio has been pulling away ever since the truth came out. Tracy wants Sonny to convince Gio to forgive Brook Lynn.
Nearby, Ava meets up with Nina. Nina reveals she’s retaining Ric as her attorney to deal with the WSB investigation.
Later, Agent Baines shows up, and Nina tells Ava who he is. Baines is not there for that. In fact, he soon tells Nina that she is under arrest in connection with the disappearance and possible murder of Brennan. Sonny steps in, but Baines takes Nina off in cuffs.
Chase Drops a Bomb on His Wife
Elsewhere, Brook Lynn is thrilled when Chase shows up, assuming he’s moving back in. However, he sets the record straight. He is only there to pack his things and see Phoebe.
“I’m moving out,” he reveals.
Brook Lynn begs him not to go. Still, Chase insists he sees no other path forward. He scoops Phoebe into his arms and tells her how much he missed her. He keeps conversation with Brook Lynn to a minimum and offers to put Phoebe to bed himself. After putting her down, he confronts Brook Lynn. He tells her there’s been a lie standing between them for too long. He still loves her, but he can no longer trust her.
Brook Lynn reminds him that he’s kept secrets in the past too, so they’ve both made mistakes. She stayed by his side through it all, and now he’s just walking away.
She begs him to take more time to think about it and not file for a separation. To that end, Chase notes he needs more time to see if their marriage can survive. Chase agrees and leaves as Brook Lynn breaks down in tears.
