General Hospital Recap: Tracy’s Home and She’s Not Happy

General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Friday, December 8, 2023:

What happened today on General Hospital: Molly and TJ make an offer; Brook Lynn and Chase make an announcement; Anna updates Valentin; Lois and Olivia get some help from Cody; and Tracy remembers her past.

Finn and Liz arrive. Violet instructs Finn to wait until she gives him the signal to come in. When they enter, they see a beautiful tree that Violet personally picked. The tree is empty, so they need to decorate it. Finn wants to grab a cup of cocoa first. Gregory expresses his desire to make this Christmas a memorable one. Chase and Brook Lynn arrive with decorations. Finn asks his brother how good he is with lights. Chase and Brook Lynn want to announce their engagement to everyone. The group congratulates them, and Violet asks about the ring. Brook Lynn kept it in her pocket so she wouldn’t ruin the surprise. Violet asks her father when he is going to propose to Aunt Elizabeth. Liz suggests that they decorate the tree first. Once they finish decorating, Violet surprises everyone by performing a song while Chase plays the guitar.

Molly asks TJ if he’s having second thoughts about choosing Kristina as their surrogate. TJ suggests they take a moment to evaluate if they are 100% sure about their decision. Molly tells TJ that they have faced setbacks since the moment they decided to have a baby and the thought of never having a family with him breaks her heart. 

However, she believes it was fate that she ran into Kristina and she is 100% sure about her choice. TJ agrees and they go to Kristina’s place to ask her to be their surrogate. Molly explains to Kristina that after everything she has been through, she must ask for help. She acknowledges that she was hard on Kristina in the past and apologizes. Kristina forgives her and agrees to be their surrogate. She tells them that she’s ready and willing to do this for them. To celebrate, Kristina gets drinks for them, which turn out to be ginger ale. They are impressed and wonder if Kristina is starting a healthy lifestyle to be their surrogate. They know she is giving up a lot, but she says it is well worth it.

Anna pays a visit to Valentin, and she inquires about Charlotte. Unfortunately, Charlotte isn’t there. Anna came by to give Valentin an update on the arsonist who set fire to her house. She assures Valentin that it wasn’t Charlotte, as per the evidence from forensics and the report from CSI. Valentin is relieved to hear that it wasn’t Charlotte, but he is also upset that he didn’t believe her when she initially denied doing it. He inquires about the DNA match and asks Anna who the arsonist is. She tells him that she cannot reveal and she doesn’t think he needs to know. She reminds him that she doesn’t trust him as she informed him the last time. 

Anna reminds him that he lied to her. Valentin admits that he was afraid of losing Anna and that’s why he didn’t tell her the truth. Anna argues that he didn’t give her a choice, and now it’s too late for them. However, Valentin can still focus on his daughter and help her get the help she needs. Valentin disagrees, saying that Anna has no right to tell him what his daughter needs. He blames Victor for Charlotte’s behavior, but Anna tells him to stop enabling his daughter and making excuses for her. Anna emphasizes that Charlotte is responsible for her actions, and Valentin needs to make her understand that.

GH Recap Today

Lois and Olivia both agree that it’s a disaster that none of the rooms in the Quartermaine mansion have been decorated for Christmas yet. Lois points out that Lila would have been extremely upset about it and would have had Reginald decorate the whole mansion by the first of December. Lois thinks they can’t just leave the house bare while they wait for Monica to come back from a medical conference, so they decide to go tree shopping. Later on, Cody arrives to help them decorate the tree, and Olivia is happy that he could help out. Lois asks him how he likes working for the Quartermaines, and he replies that he loves it. It’s the first place that feels like home to him.

Tracy is currently on a plane, going through pictures of herself and Luke. As she comes across a photo of their wedding day, she becomes emotional and puts on her dark glasses to conceal her tears. Later, upon arriving at the Quartermaines, Tracy notices the decorations and exclaims that they are not up to par.
