Courtroom Drama as Drew Takes the Stand

In today’s episode of General Hospital, Martin questions Portia about how long she’s been sleeping with Isaiah while married to Curtis. Molly objects. The judge allows the question, but Portia objects too. She doesn’t see what her personal life has to do with her ex-husband attacking Isaiah.

The judge reminds Portia that she has to answer the questions or be held in contempt. Martin pushes forward, and Portia explains she started seeing Isaiah because she and Curtis were estranged. When Molly questions her again, she highlights that Curtis had also moved in with his ex-wife. She also mentions that Curtis was the one who threw the first punch during the altercation.

Meanwhile, Drew takes the stand under questioning from Molly. He claims that on the night of the accident, his wife wasn’t on Route 91—she was at home with him. When Martin cross-examines him, Drew notes that he was suffering from locked-in syndrome when Detective Fitzpatrick questioned him. He argues that the detective completely misinterpreted his response.

Later, Isaiah takes the stand. Molly questions him. He explains that due to the incident, he will not be able to operate. In fact, he doesn’t know if or when he will ever perform surgery again. Martin cross-examines him. He notes that Isaiah provoked his client. However, Isaiah adds that he simply made a statement he believed to be true.

Curtis Takes the Stand

Jordan takes the stand. Martin questions her first as she explains what the accident did to her. Molly then takes over the questioning. She wastes no time pointing out that Jordan used to serve as Police Commissioner. The trial moves along as Curtis finally takes the stand.

Curtis explains why he is sure Isaiah is the person who left him and Jordan for dead. He also thinks Isaiah is actively trying to push him out of his family.

Molly presents her closing remarks. Martin then does the same.

Serena Flirts with Michael

General Hospital recap August 6 Michael
Rory Gibson as Michael Corinthos.

Serena apologizes to Jack before introducing herself. She offers to buy Jack a drink, but he takes a rain check, saying he has to run. Sure he’ll see her around, he heads out. Serena grabs a seat and relaxes just as Michael emerges from the water. “Excuse me, I believe you’re in my seat,” Michael says. She explains that she knows—she’s actually there to ambush him.

Serena introduces herself. Michael points out that she is Lucy and Scott’s daughter. Serena knows who he is too. She also knows what he did to her mother.

She explains that her mom was in pieces over Deception. Her mom needed her, which is why she returned to Port Charles. Michael understands. After all, he would do anything for his mother. Serena hopes he won’t have a problem with her working alongside her mom at the company.

Michael claims he is okay with it. He doesn’t get in the way of hiring. However, he points out that there is one huge hurdle she will have to overcome.

Lucy turns up at the Metro Court pool and spies on Serena. Serena tells Michael she knows what Tracy said, but she doesn’t think Tracy will be a problem. In fact, she’s confident she can handle her.

Laura Meets with Lucy

Genie Francis as Laura on General Hospital.

Laura meets with Lucy at Bobbie’s. Lucy tells Laura how amazing her hair looks. Laura fires back that she doesn’t have to butter her up every time she wants something. Lucy promises that’s not what she’s doing, right before bringing up Kevin.

Laura is stunned to learn Serena is back. She wants to plan a reunion for her daughter and Kevin, though she notes Kevin isn’t back yet… even if he’d love to see her.

The university fell in love with Kevin and asked him to stay for the fall semester, but Laura plans to visit him soon. Now that Jenz is out of the picture, she might even be able to bring Ace back with her. Later, Lucy mentions she has to leave to see her daughter. As she walks out, Laura spots the suspicious meeting between Ezra and Jacinda outside.

Jacinda Uses Ezra

General Hospital recap August 6 Ezra
Daniel Cosgrove as Ezra Boyle on GH.

Outside Bobbie’s, Ezra meets up with Jacinda. She asks if he has it, and he wonders why she needs it. She tells him it’s been a bad day and she just wants to take the edge off. “Anything for you,” he says, handing over a package of pills.

Ezra wonders what’s going on with Jacinda. She explains that Willow served her a restraining order to stay away from Wiley and Amelia. He offers to stay with her rather than leave her alone. She appreciates the offer, but she doesn’t want him taking any more hits on her account. He begs her to promise she’ll call if she needs him. She promises and kisses him on the cheek before heading out.

Ezra goes inside and is happy to see Laura. He joins her at the table. Laura questions him about his conversation with Jacinda, noting that it looked tense. She warns him that Jacinda is seeing Michael. She tells him it’s a tangled web because of Michael’s ex-wife. Ezra knows, but he refuses to abandon Jacinda.

Later, Brennan meets with Laura. He was hoping they could find common ground. She tells him no, demanding to know why the WSB hasn’t taken Jenz Sidwell out of Port Charles.

Brennan explains that the WSB didn’t challenge it, but Laura can’t understand why. He explains they didn’t want to kick up any dust with the PCPD so soon after the Jason Morgan incident. He promises that if she still has reason to believe Sidwell is a threat, he will have her back. She promises to hold him to it.

Sonny Shocks Dante

General Hospital recap August 6 sonny
Maurice Benard as Sonny Corinthos.

Dante visits his dad. He’s surprised to learn Sonny doesn’t know what team Jason will be playing for this year—only that it won’t be theirs.

Dante is sure they’ve got the season locked, but Sonny clarifies he isn’t talking about sports—he means Jason quit working for him. Dante points out Jason has done this before and will be back. Sonny insists this time is different; Jason quit because of the WSB.

Dante then wonders where this leaves his father.

Dominic Zamprogna as Dante Falconeri.

Dante admits that when he accepted that Sonny was his father, he thought daily about the danger Sonny was in. He explains how much he needs him here and alive. Now that Jason has walked away, Dante worries about who will be his father’s right-hand man. Sonny tells him he has nothing to worry about because he is walking away, too.

Dante wonders why. Sonny explains that it all comes back to what happened with Sidwell. Dante is happy to hear this, and he and Sonny share a hug.

Jason Shares His Big News with Tracy

General Hospital recap August 6 Tracy
Jane Elliot as Tracy Quartermaine on GH August 6.

Meanwhile, over at the Quartermaine mansion, Jason reveals to Tracy that he quit working for Sonny. Jason explains he’s completely serious. “I’ll be damned,” Tracy quips.

Jason reveals he did this for Danny. He thinks his son deserves a better father, and he wants to try to be one. Tracy believes him. She gets emotional, realizing that what Jason wants for Danny is exactly what Alan and Monica always wanted for him.

Jason admits that he has been thinking a lot about Alan and Monica. Tracy notes that she has longed for this day ever since the moment he entered Sonny’s world. Jason wishes he could tell them he is sorry for all the worry he put them through. Tracy tells him that if they were here, they would be so happy and grateful.

Willow Is Confident

Willow meets with her mom and complains that Nina went to the WSB with her problems instead of coming to her.

Nina understands where Willow is coming from, but she stands her ground—Willow shouldn’t push the PCPD to reopen the case. Nina reminds her that Jack only cares because he’s the one who made the footage disappear. If that comes out, Willow will end up taking down the man who helped her right along with herself.

Nina thinks Willow is overplaying her hand because of the position she’s in. Willow claims this is the strongest position she’s ever been in and she isn’t going to waste it, which makes Nina question what her daughter actually did.

Nina is stunned to learn Willow hit Jacinda with a restraining order. Willow explains that Jacinda threatened her. She adds that Jacinda is lucky a restraining order is all she got. Right on cue, the doorbell rings. Nina answers it, and it’s Jacinda delivering some of her outfits.

Jacinda notes that she got the restraining order and wonders if she should leave. Willow tells her that as much as she’d love nothing more, the restraining order is to protect her kids, not her. Willow then exits.

Nina leaves the room to get something for Jacinda to take back to the office. Jacinda spots a latte and sees her opportunity. She pulls out the pills.

Jacinda slips the pills into Willow’s latte and quickly exits.
