On August 26, 2025, General Hospital star Sawandi Wilson marked a major milestone: his first anniversary playing Dr. Isaiah Gannon. He took to Instagram to share the love, posting a carousel of behind-the-scenes shots, episodic stills, and a video, which he captioned:
“1 year @generalhospitalabc goes by fast! WOW 🎉 From day one, the love and support I’ve received from the cast, crew, and especially the fans has been humbling. I couldn’t do this without you. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU❤️🙏🏾 What’s a scene /moment that’s stuck with you this year?”
Wilson’s debut was part of a huge storyline twist that brought fan-favorite Jonathan Jackson back as Lucky Spencer. In that August 26, 2024, episode, it was revealed that Lucky had been undercover, infiltrating a compound to rescue his associate, none other than Isaiah Gannon.
But things didn’t go smoothly. As Isaiah made his way to Port Charles, he was accidentally run over. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) found Isaiah unconscious on the road at Lookout Point and called for help anonymously.
Sawandi Wilson Marks 1 Year on General Hospital
Isaiah was rushed to General Hospital, admitted as a John Doe, and nearly didn’t make it after an attempt on his life by Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) assassin, Tracker Sloane. However, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) stopped the hit just in time.
Since then, Dr. Gannon’s been through a lot. He had a brief romance with Jordan, but that fizzled out. Lately, though, Isaiah’s been getting closer to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), A LOT CLOSER. The two even had sex right in her office at the hospital.
Now, one year in, Wilson has fully settled into the role and become a fan favorite. From action-packed scenes to emotional beats and steamy romance, Isaiah Gannon has added a lot to the GH canvas. He even performed at the show’s iconic Nurses Ball event.

So what’s been your favorite Isaiah moment this past year? And what do you hope to see for his character moving forward?
