She’s feeling optimistic and declares that this year will be a good one. However, her happiness is short-lived as she receives some life-changing news that leaves her in tears.

Meanwhile, the situation surrounding who informed the SEC continues to escalate. Lois (Rena Sofer) tries to reveal to Sonny (Maurice Benard) who betrayed Carly and Drew. Sonny suspects it was Ned (Wally Kurth), but Lois assures him that he’s only taking the blame for the real offender. She advises Sonny to ask his son, Michael (Chad Duell). Sonny confronts Michael while Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) is upset with Lois for stirring up trouble.
