Congratulations are in order for the team at Port Charles. General Hospital has won the 2019 Writer’s Guild Award for Best Daytime Drama beating Days of Our Lives.
The 71st annual WGA Awards for excellence in writing was held at the Beverly Hitol Hotel in Beverly Hills California and Edison Ballroom in New York City on February 17, 2019.
GH took home the award for best daytime drama of which their team consists of head writers: Shelly Altman, Christopher Van Etten and Writers: Barbara Bloom, Anna Theresa Cascio, Suzanne Flynn, Charlotte Gibson, Lucky Gold, Kate Hall, Elizabeth Korte, Daniel James O’Connor, Donny Sheldon, Scott Sickles.
