Sofia Mattsson who plays Sasha Gilmore on General Hospital shared exciting news with her fans today!
The actress took to Instagram to announce that today she became a US citizen! She posted a picture of herself holding a US flag and her documents along with the caption, “So honored and proud to have become a US Citizen today!!! I’m so grateful to this country for all the opportunities I’ve been given and for helping me make my dreams come true!”
Sofia was born and raised in Sweden before immigrating to the US over 10 years ago to follow in her big sister Helena’s footsteps and pursue her dreams of being an actress!
Along with getting her citizenship and turning in an Emmy worth performance on General Hospital, Sasha also welcome her first child, a boy, with husband Thomas Payton last summer!
Congrats on yet another amazing milestone Sofia!
