On today’s General Hospital for April 20, 2023:Victor has bad news for Spencer, Curtis seeks help from Drew, Ava and Portia connect, Carly tries to make peace, and Ned vents to Brook Lynn.
On the Haunted Star Victor tells Trina how he trapped her and has Liesel brought in. He takes Liesel aside and she tells him she has read over the papers he gave her and has already thought of numerous protocols for a vaccine. Victor has them all brought on deck and gives Spencer one more chance to join him. When Spencer refuses Victor tells his men to throw Trina overboard.
Spencer panics and promises to do whatever he wants but Victor is unmoved and tells his men to throw them both over. Liesel steps in and tells Victor she needs them for test subjects and he relents and lets them live.
Ava goes to Portia to check on her and see if there’s an update on Trina. Portia fills her in on the phone call and everything that happened and blames it all on Spencer. Ava tells her that Spencer has changed and it’s all due to Trina but Portia is determined to keep them apart if Trina comes home. Ava cautions her that it may make reconciling with Trina harder for her and assures her that Trina is smart and brave and tells her that she’ll be ok and come home to them.
Curtis updates Drew about Trina and questions him about anything he might remember. Drew searches his memories but comes up with nothing. He tells Curtis about what they know so far and what he does remember but it doesn’t give them a lead.
Drew tells Curtis that Trina is strong like he is and when Portia comes out Curtis asks her if she’s heard anything else from Trina. She tells him that she has and asks why he’s still at the hospital. Curtis tells her that he can’t go home as long as Trina is missing. Drew gets an idea of somewhere they may be able to get a lead.
Brook Lynn overhears Ned talking about ELQ on the phone and questions him about what’s going on. Ned tells her that ELQ’s in trouble because of everything that’s happened with Valentin and that they have to remove him as CEO to save the company. He tells her that he wants to team up with Michael and Drew but Brook Lynn thinks he’s being unfair to Valentin and Ned might regret crossing him.
Nina shows up at Ava’s and is surprised when Carly answers the door. She questions why Carly is there and Carly explains that Ava had to go out and asked her to stay with Avery. Nina tells her she can go and that she’ll sit with Avery but Carly tells her that she’s staying. Nina accuses her of not trusting her with Avery. Carly tries to avoid a fight but Nina accuses her of telling Michael to not invite her to the wedding.
Carly figures out that Sonny was invited and Nina wasn’t and is happy that Sonny is putting his family first. They argue about Willow and her relationships with both of them and the progression of her cancer and Carly refuses to let Nina blame her for the state of her relationship with Willow.
Nina leaves angrily and as she sits in her car she remembers talking to Ava about turning Carly in for insider trading and comes up with a plan to take her down. When Ava gets home Carly tells her that Nina was there and to not try to give her advice again.
